That's true too, but not every guy has the capacity to be charismatic. It's like any skill or thing you try in life. Most things with enough effort, one can be at least decent at. But to get to the highest levels of a certain skill or personality trait, you need to have innate talent. Do you disagree with that?

Not every guy can be charismatic.

That's what happened to me with my last girlfriend, and I fucked it up lol.

Yeah, I guess I just don't want it bad enough then.

I've just given up. Knowing myself, I don't have what it takes to really change this. It is what it is.

How come they don't respond to my messages on dating apps then?

The biggest indicator of success aside from innate personality traits like charisma, is mental toughness. It's the ability to never give up and have faith along the process that it will work out eventually. I could never do that.

I give up too easily and am mentally weak.

There's a guy who I know who is short, scrawny and not attractive at all no homo, but is great with women because he's funny and gets laid a lot and even did so when he was living with his grandparents. Looks really do not matter THAT much to women. Sure they help, but most of the time when someone is struggling, it's because of their own short comings as opposed to not being attractive or financially successful.

I'm probably a 6.5-8 looks wise in general, for my age a little higher. In my mid 20s I was an 8-9, man I wish I took advantage of those years lol.

Yup that's me in a nutshell haha.

Was in therapy for years and used to be worse off, probably as good as it's gonna get for me.

My problem is that I'm mentally weak and give up too easily. Hate to say this, that's really what it comes down to. You can tell if someone will get this if they're mentally strong and just keep going. Doesn't matter where they start. If you don't have that, then you're fucked.

How do you do it?

I already regret not really trying earlier.

My biggest problems are having a positive attitude and giving up too easily.

Flirting I think you either got or ya don't.
/r/seduction02/09/21 04:57 PM

That's a loaded question. What exactly do you mean by that? I think the root of the problem is that I never believed I could have the dating skills that I wanted.

I've noticed that I've been getting less replies and initiating messages in the pandemic.

Why?

How do you know what I do or don't do? I go on online dates, it isn't like I put up zero effort.

No it is lol. Every now and then I'll get laid and I'll probably find a woman and settle down at some point, and I could've been married in the past. But for my looks, I'll always underachieve in this regard. It is what it is.

Some men just aren't good with women and either don't get laid at all or only do a few times a year. I'm the latter and is it what it is.

Yeah I'm not a musician or anything lol. I already know it's kind of too late for me.

What I mean is, are there certain personality types or character flaws that will make it very difficult to impossible for someone to learn game.
/r/seduction13/07/21 01:32 AM
1

Meeting through friends, but I just do online. I probably get with one or two out of every ten dates. It's way more efficient than cold approach, but I know the guys who are really skilled have successfully learned the latter.
/r/seduction01/07/21 06:33 PM

Some men just aren't cut out for cold approach. I'm one of them, but I particularly think the mantra "anyone can learn how to cold approach" is false and very damaging to some men. People can definitely improve, but some men, such as myself, don't have the personality and temperament to pull it off. That isn't to say that one can't have success with women, but the means to get there have to be different.

Talent comes into play when it comes to cold approach, there's no denying that. For the most part you either have it or you don't. But luckily there are dating apps.

I have a good job and in great shape. I can't flirt. How can I learn?
/r/seduction10/02/20 03:01 AM
1

Oh believe me, I'm living proof that looks don't matter. Look man I don't know what I can do other than what I'm doing (going on online dates) and it's not working. I'm desperate for a solution. What do you suggest?
/r/seduction10/02/20 01:58 AM
1

My goal isn't to become extremely skilled with women. Just to be able to get laid at least once every 3 months and be able to convert about half of my dates from online. I should be able to do this. It's bullshit that unattractive men can and I can't.
/r/seduction10/02/20 01:15 AM

Well I wouldn't say that I suck in all social situations, but I've always struggled to get laod consistently. How did you get better?
/r/seduction10/02/20 01:13 AM

A hell of a lot is innate when it comes to playing football.

I'm well aware of the fact that I think negatively and that it a problem.
/r/seduction05/11/19 08:43 PM

Believe me, I'm looking at this objectively. Which is why I haven't done cold approach because knowing myself I don't think thats something that I can do and to be honest I don't even believe that I can learn how to be a successful dater. I don't know what I need to do, maybe hire a coach.
/r/seduction05/11/19 08:41 PM
1

How long did it take you to get good at cold approach? My objective is to get to a level where I'm decent quickly and through the path of least resistance so cold approach is something that I REALLY don't want to do. But it unfortunately may be required.
/r/seduction05/11/19 08:35 PM

Don't really have any friends.
/r/seduction02/11/19 06:33 PM

Yeah but I'm even worse at cold approaching and online can be a very efficient way of getting laid.

I've been in therapy for many years and have had a difficult life on a personal level. It's helped me immensely and I'd be in a much much worse place if I didn't have it. But I stopped therapy a year ago because of the cost and I don't think it can help me more than it already has. So this goes back to what I was saying regarding uncertainty as to whether or not I can improve from where I'm at now because - 1. Have been doing online dating for years, 2. Been in therapy for years and although it …

I'm in a similar spot to you, but I am more experienced with women. Have had two serious girlfriends in the past, now am single and have slept with 11 chicks. However, I don't have any game and will get if I'm lucky one chick out of 20 fuckable online dates. I honestly don't know what I can do to get better because I've been on and off online dating for year. At the end of the day, I think that some guys just can't get the hang of game and that I'm one of them.
/r/seduction01/11/19 02:37 PM

Yeah I'm going on online dates and have been striking out a ton. This year I've had 20 or so first dates with attractive women and I slept with only one of them. I don't want to cold approach because that would probably be a waste of my time. But I don't know if I can improve because I've been doing online dating on and off for awhile and have not improved that much.

Thanks for the long and thoughtful response, I really appreciate it. When did you start?
/r/seduction31/10/19 11:48 AM

I agree. This is more of an art than a science. Which is why I don't think I can learn.

Are you good now?
