One of my biggest regrets in life was how I acted in the last days of my 7 year relationship. I knew she was cheating for weeks and I eventually showed up at her house and he was there with his pants off. I blew my lid then turned full beta. Leaving that relationship was a goal of mine and I still all but begged her to stay. I even took her on the "save the relationship" vacation I had planned the very next day! It was the most painful thing I ever did to myself and I look back now in disgust fo…

Agree with you both. I've been on a statistic kick lately with workouts, nutrition and money, so it' must be leaking into my dating life too. I get pissed at myself when something doesn't play out the way I expect it too (not hope or want, btw). DON'T DO THAT. Obviously a control thing.

"[poor women] may be vulnerable to situations such as...early marriage that put them at risk for HIV, STIs, unplanned pregnancy, and poor reproductive health." EARLY MARRIAGE is a problem and it can lead to STDs? What kind of backwards logic is this?

I'm not here for morals. That time has long since past, while doing me little good.

Aside from the obvious: looks and decent personality, I need to see effort. Not dressing well for me; not cleaning up my apartment when over (bed, dishes); not saying "thank you". Basically buying into the idea that I should love them just because they exist.

Not yet has a single commenter even brushed by the idea that beauty is NOT a social construct. (Sorry for the lack of "in" in the title.)

COMMENT: "Flip it around so that you're rejecting her and she needs to chase you." OP: "Yeah, I'm not an asshole, so I'm not doing that." And he's also not going to get laid. It irks me when guys use the excuse, "I'm a good guy. I don't play games", when in reality they're just weak and afraid.

EXACTLY! Not big on hard Negging either, but one does need to on their balloon strings a bit. If you can do it with finesse and charm, you're golden! And when I said, "treated her like a regular person", my tongue is firmly placed in my cheek. Those who place women atop of pedestals are doing them a grave disservice by reenforcing the wall which keeps girls from reality. No matter how "hot" a female is, her day of reckoning will some day come; perhaps she should hang a little closer on Earth bef…

My prediction is that this will become much more common once same sex marriage is legalized. It is funny that most people think about gay men when discussing same sex marriage, but we will not see an up tick in gay men relationships, but we will see it in lesbian relationships. Women are "Flex Sex", men, not so much.

From OP's comment: "I'm just sick of being 'content' but not happy." What the fuck is this magical "happy" that we Westerners seek? For 99% of Human history our ancestors would have LOVED to be content! Both men & women have bought this bill of goods, hard, but I don't think it's wrong to say women have it worse. If most men thought about what would make them "happy" they'd probably say something like: have a job I do well; have a good (read: feminine) women who loves me. Ask a women and you're …

Your sentiment is absolutely 100% correct! Natural selection means "the survive of the most adaptable". This is the trouble with feminism; They want -and get- the rules of livelihood adapted so they can survive. Brillant strategy! Except there will be consequences when you go against the natural order. Like you've said, as takers of TRP we must adapt to these changes, thus surviving during and after the inevitable collapse.

Just want to point out an outstanding comment from "Connie Boyd", who opines: "Americans don't need a condescending 'simple map to responsible adulthood.' They need better access to education, decent-paying jobs, child care and birth control." In other words, no personal responsibility (adulthood) and more government intervention. Makes me sick.

I definitely felt a wave of giddiness upon reading the news, but here's the thing: Adriana Richards will now play the ever so convient and cheap victim card; a martyr. If she has an ounce of charisma she will be elevated to the level of Anita Sarkeesian or that Dawkins elevator girl. Today this is a victory, but no doubt she will still be rewarded for her bad behavior. A feminist society is analogous to a single mother with a fatherless problem child.

Her degree is in acting!! 100k spent with no real practicality. Worst of all, she will probably start banging her co-stars and directors even if it's a crummy community theatre. yikes!

If I may Ill tell you of one of my experiences with a girl very similar to this. Basically had the same things happen to her as a child. She wasn't as masculine as your gf, but she certainly wasn't as girly as I prefer. Aside from that she would consistently cry after sex to a point I didn't want to sleep with her anymore. After a few months of dating the sex dropped off the cliff (my own doing) and when we discussed why she asked me if I was gay. (sound familiar?) I refused to even justify her …

I truly feel for you, brother. TRP is a cold, honest place so I won't mince words: She's busted merchandise. As a man we want to "fix" things but I have yet to see a girl come back from a terrible experience like that. But, if you really, really want to try, you'll have to be more assertive in just day to day activities. Stop letting her insecurities become your own.

From the details you provided it seems like the only thing feminine about her is her passive aggressiveness. I'm willing to bet it's not you who needs to be more manly but her who needs to be more girly. What she probably means is that she wants you to be more sexually aggressive with her, and you may not be because you're simply not that into her. Next time you two are alone throw her against the wall (sexy not angry), spin her around and fuck her like a sweaty animal. This should fem her up fo…

Clearly staged, BUT this sort of thing will work. I was driving with some girl I was "dating" and she was giving me some silly shit test. All I had to do was ignore her and look out my driver's side window. There, was a fairly cute girl in another car. I simply stared at the other girl long enough to grab her attention and smiled. The other girl smiled back. I looked to my chick and her agape mouth turned into a smile as she said playfully, "you're such a jerk". Girl was all over my dick by the …

I have always found that the way older women (usually secretaries) love when you beta down during interactions. It's as though you're their sweet, innocent son and they want to protect you from mean, awful father (the boss). It IS a pathetic, dirty feeling but the tactic has gotten me out of many jams!

I appreciate the contrary opinion. Mom definitely has an empty nest thing going on, so she's thrilled to have me there -even though she hardly ever sees me. If I felt like I was a burden I would split tomorrow. Independence is key. I should have been more wise in finance in my 20s and I'd had much more of it now.

Thanks for all of your responses. I'm staying put. Along with what you guys have said, Rollo's latest post really struck a cord: "...the nuts and bolts of being a man is to produce more than you consume." http://rationalmale.wordpress.com/2013/03/08/consumer-confidence/ So for the next year I will consume less and increase my output...THAT will make me happier than banging some googley eyed girls. As an aside, it is so nice to have a community where we don't have to bullshit and hide the truth.

Kids are all about testing everything, especially boundaries. I have definitely made clear where the line is to her. And I'm not a mean dick about it, it's just where my personal line is and it will not be moved for anyone. From what I can tell she adores me and asks for me constantly. Ironically, my Brother-in-law gets a kick out of her telling his own brother that I'm her favorite uncle. If anything it proves children and females like reasonable boundaries and conviction.

I know it's off point, but message her anyway. Remember, women don't really know what they want. If you do a good job chatting her up she will rationalize that 4 inch difference away.

I just checked out the webiste. Unless I'm missing something it seems like anyone and everyone that you are connected to on Facebook is "on" the website. There doesn't seem to be any indication of active users vs. people who have never even heard of the website. Still, spin those plates.

The world lost a great intellectual the day Patrice suffered a stroke and eventually died. Fortunately he did leave behind some Hysterical and poignant stand-up and radio work. When I pick-up the meal, I usually TELL them to leave the tip. Simply, "I got this, you leave the tip." Can even tell them the amount in which to leave. You're still being generous and decent while establishing compliance, all while saving 18%. Another example is to say, "I got this, you buy the drinks at later." Just a note, if they only have a credit card (or worse, no cash at all) I consider that presumptuous on her part. Strike 1.
