Yeh.. it's sad because this makes this sub only slightly better than the others. Slightly better because, at least, they don't ban you for disagreeing, and they allow everybody to post (at least, as far as I know)

The reason is that, unfortunately, this sub is not immune to the usual hive-mind and echo-chamber phenomenon you see all over reddit. Therefore, even if you provide proof to counter the statement, you will be downvoted. People love to feel like victims, and they hate it when they are wrong. So they prefer to just downvote and hide the truth

These are not proofs... chess sees a lot less participation from women. It's easier to find a genius in a group of 10000 players than it is to find it in a group of 100. As other pointed out, research on IQ suggests men overperform and underperform more compared to women, but the average IQ is the same. This, assuming IQ is a perfect and complete metric to evaluate intelligence, which is probably not

What the hell Do you agree that men are stronger than women on average, that we have more muscle mass, and that our bodies' natural temperature is fairly higher? I like that you seem to be open minded. More people should be like you. I just felt sorry to see you were drowned in downvotes just because you posted an unpopular opinion, even if it sounds like a reasonable point to me. At least you were not banned. I got banned on a few other subs because I posted similar thoughts on different topics Regardless of that, this sub should be more accepting of opposing views when they make sense

Exactly lol but the source i sent you says the average age gap is only 2 years. This is what I'm saying. 2 years is too low. If it was 2 years, there wouldn't be such huge differences in the graph I showed you. Either my graph, or yours, is wrong or citing data from different time frames

You make a very good point... I really, really want to like this sub, but it has the same issues of feminists subs,. Any opposing view is downvoted and frowned upon, even if it is reasonable. You cannot deny that toxic masculinity exists. We all live in this world where men cannot cry, men cannot be sad, they cannot ask for help. Gays are still discriminated because it's not "masculine". Lonely men are seen as losers because they cannot "get a woman". Yet here they insist this is not toxic??

Try Lithuania. A poor country, but still part of the EU. Women over there do not need a passport to emigrate to a rich country such as Germany or Switzerland and start a career, although they still prefer the quick route of marrying a foreigner. I read his post as sarcasm. Btw there's a lot of hate in this sub. I can understand it though, half of reddit is full of "men are bad" posts. Particularly the women-only subs. There's also a lot of bias where if you post anything from a male-centric point of view, you generally get criticized MUCH more than if you post the same story from the perspective of a woman. I tested this by myself, and it's true, unfortunately..

They're still downvoting but the media is literally FULL of male-only shows. 90% of the shows I watched when I was young only included male heroes. It's unbelievable. I don't see any issue with this. No issues with male-only shows or female-only shows either. Who cares
