Although you do make valid points and over all I think you are correct we are far from a perfect society and the same is true for past generations. Every generation has some things good about them and some things bad. We can learn from past generations and future generations can learn from our mistakes.

Like your family or the women in your family may have been treated like complete shit but that's not the case for my family. Unions were ALSO HUGE back then and many people today are retired because of them. The stories I hear today of the type of pay, benefits, overtime, etc. certain union members got back then are insane to anyone who is under 30. I am sorry but your claim is very subjective.

TBH IDC - It is a millennial problem though. Think about it. If you are making as much, near, or more than a man, obviously your standards on looks will go up. This is also a more American problem. Okay, I re-posted my question and fixed the grammar on it.
