Hard time staying hard is definitely a dead giveaway. Talking a really big game. Saying he’ll go down on you “for hours”, or taking no time at all giving oral. With an ex I noticed he would always end up staring at my vagina during sex. He really enjoyed it, but it totally cut off any potential for connection and made me feel like he didn’t need the rest of me. His stare down there definitely came from watching porn - when the camera is locked on downstairs with no concern for the person.

TLDR: a brief outline of porn access over the past 50 years, followed by a little rant about OF and sex work criticism. That’s such a good point. Men used to have to actively seek out pornographic materials, and save for a few guys with large personal collections, many simply went without, pulling out an old playboy every so often. Porn was taboo. And as far as films went, you had to either own a VHS or go and watch it in a special theatre - and the men who did were considered perverse. I do wan…

I used to think this, but the last guy I dated with opened my eyes to the possibility. He actually likes women - as people (the bar is in hell, I know). He had many female friends, but also many male friends as well, just a large social circle. He spoke very highly of his female friends, never mentioned their looks but rather their accomplishments, and showed genuine interest while in conversation with women, no matter who they were. Definitely made me suspicious initially, due to being cheated …

I realized with the last guy I dated that I every guy I’ve dated (save for one) would not only play devils advocate, but also fight me on every opinion I had. it wasn’t until this last guy - who had some really wonderful green flags - that I admitted to him that I didn’t want to have to defend every opinion I had, and that I didn’t think I had to - AND HE DISAGREED. He said that if I said something I had to be able to defend it. Like we were dating, why can’t I just say something without having …

FDS has a pretty standard anti-porn policy, and I support and agree with that. I also know that it’s incredibly difficult to find men who don’t watch porn at least on occasion. Watching porn is morally complex because, for most of the videos people engage with online, it’s practically impossible to verify that the parties involved were actually enthusiastically consenting and not being coerced or threatened. From a psychology-informed perspective, porn use can certainly alter people’s ideas and …

I went on a trip to Toronto a week to the day before an incel drove a van into a crowd of women and killed and injured people. I was in the exact spot he murdered people - targeting women - a week to the day. FDS is not the same thing AT ALL

My most recent ex viewed women as people and it was both refreshing and challenging! On the one hand, it was refreshing because he actually finds women interesting, full-fledged people. On the other hand, I had to deal with my own past issues because he was able to have friendships with women without any issues between them. He has a large network of friends, both men and women, and I had to confront myself because I was feeling weird about it. But I recognized that he wasn’t acting the way the …

I wanted to share this because, while I personally have not formed an opinion about JP (honestly just not that interested enough to learn more about either side that likes or hates him), I was surprised to hear these statements from someone so lauded by the red pill/mgtow cesspools. Reading the comments on the original TikTok and even here, perhaps I shouldn’t have been surprised since he’s apparently held these views for a while. I just thought y’all would get a kick out of this!

With my first partner I would fake it, but I mean there was zero foreplay, and he would go for hours. He would only finish if I did, so to end his relentless stamina I would fake it. Not a huge surprise as to why I had a 2.5 year break from sex after that ended! My last two partners I’ve never faked. My second partner would do foreplay but it was more out of a sense of fairness than him enjoying giving. I enjoyed it with him, but my current partner finds going down to be very arousing, and his e…

I like a lot of what you said, but honestly, when I was celibate for over two years, there were definitely times where I missed blow jobs. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to like giving head, plenty of men are vocal about their love of going down south too!

I really enjoy it! But that level of enjoyment definitely depends on what he’s working with, like if he’s too big it isn’t as fun for me lol. I find giving them really hot, seeing your man lose his ever-loving mind over what you’re doing is such a thrill! I haven’t given my current partner one yet (I save them until I know them better, it’ll be soon for him though), but he gets super aroused going down on me, so it’s not unreasonable for a woman to feel the same. I think there are people who don…

It always fascinates me how these men can have so much vitriolic hate towards people they are supposedly attracted to. People joke about how its now “gay” to be straight, but at this point just go fuck each other in the name of masculinity and leave us alone with the men who actually like women as people.

I now have a 75 year old man casually stalking me, simply because I was being friendly and doing my job. He seemed harmless during our initial conversation but then got creepier. I thought it was over but after being off work for two days my coworkers told me he had come back each day asking for me. He caught me one day this week outside and, while I managed to slip away, he was lurking around outside, asking what time I was finished. I feel that way too! I’m 24, and my parents’ (married) friend has made some comments and leered and I’m always hella uncomfortable- but unfortunately he usually has plausible deniability. I was walking my dog a few weeks ago and this old guy slowed his car truck and inches by while looking at me smiling. KEEP IT MOVING GRAMPS! I have had lots of men of all ages leer but 50+ is definitely the zone that gives me the most heebie jeebies, probably because my parents are around that age!

This picture shows what is probably many women’s “ideal” amount of muscle, while lots of guys end up getting waaaaay too muscular. Men go to the gym to get fit to attract women, and then end up competing with the other men there to get bigger and bigger, until they end up alienating most women.

I always get overwhelmed with tinder gold or platinum, because I also end up with 2k likes and it’s just too much. I end up swiping left on like 99% of them, because I have to filter through before even more crop up. Also there’s no way to filter your likes. I have pretty rigid settings when I swipe, but there’s no way to filter by location or age when looking at who’s liked you which is annoying. Full disclosure I’ve sworn off OLD, since it is just full of lvm who are low-effort.

Omg my literally pos-narc-ex. My older brother said he would never have dated my now SIL had she approached him, because it’s a huge turn-off. Granted my brother isn’t exactly a HVM, but I remember being shocked by that. When I drive around my town, there’s lots of short blocks with lots of stop signs. I usually focus on the road but sometimes I’ll look at pedestrians or other drivers and if I ever look at a man they do exactly what you say! They always end up staring. I mean, I’m going to disagree respectfully. I’ve personally always found men in their thirties to be the most attractive, even as a teenager. Now it’s worth clarifying that attraction is personal and that age-gap relationships give me the heebie-jeebies. In my mind I always felt that I wouldn’t date this age cohort of men until I was in my late 20s to 30s. I have had many men in their 30s (and 40s and up) hit on me over the years and ask me out, and it’s just icky. Like I’m almost 25, but when a…

First of all! PROUD OF YOU! You are on a journey and I’m so proud of you for doing the hard work to better your life! This painful awakening reminds me of Plato’s allegory of the cave, here is a primer for those unfamiliar. When you know, you can’t go back to ignorance, to delude yourself is active self-destruction. When you realize that religious and conservative men are the ones who consume the most porn your eyes open up. All of the “men’s groups” at churches end up becoming like a porn addicts anonymous support group. The only difference between religious and areligious men (in my experience) is that the religious men have a deep rooted shame in their use. They hate “the sin”, but again, it’s not about stopping because of the systemic and abusive mistreatment and trafficking of women, it’s because the g…

I have been shamed time and time again for not wanting to have ONS or FWBs. Most frustratingly is having women in different (past) friend groups go out of their way to patronize me for not having had as much sex as them. My favourite foreplay is being out for dinner, knowing that we’re going to have sex later. Little touches, little looks. 95% of foreplay for me is nonverbal. I consistently have a higher libido than men I’ve dated, so I don’t always get that full build up because I’m down whenever, but when I do, holy smokes it’s great. I agree with you soooo much! I just felt like sharing this girls perspective, but I personally skew very anti-capitalist and leftist. I don’t value someone who is hoarding wealth or using money as a leverage in a relationship. I did like her perspective since she seemed to be responding to men in particular. But that’s one thing I love about FDS is that while we all agree on what LV and NV is, we can value different things in a partner.

The real issue is lack of supervision. Parents neglecting their children, especially on the internet. They say you’re only ever a few clicks away from porn at any given time and they’re right. I was exposed to pornography way too young because I had unsupervised access at the age of 8. Eight years old. Parents will say they put parental locks on or check search history as if kids being raised on tech doesn’t put them at an advantage. I’m still the IT person for my parents.

Maybe I'm naive but I do genuinely think there are men like this out there…the challenge is finding one that isn't already in a relationship! While there seem to be plenty of single women who are just enjoying life, it seems hard to find men who are single and not jumping from one relationship to the next. Lots of women know to take time to heal and work on yourself after a breakup, but it seems like a lot of men don't address why a relationship didn't work and just jump into the next one. Or th…

I want to clarify that this video is not directed towards women who are trapped in unsafe/abusive relationships. This woman is talking to women who are aware of their relationships faults and toxicity, but who still stay instead of being single.

Look up “emotional incest”, gross term but I really resonated with it. My mom and dad always have put me in the middle since I was a child. Hearing your parents complain about each other by “confiding” really fucks you up lol. It’s a clear red flag for having no boundaries at all. My older brother gets to be oblivious to all their issues but since I was 6 I thought they should get divorced.

I don’t even know how anyone could argue for this behaviour. It’s not like he was offering to go down on her or even have sex. He wanted a blowjob, which means he was prioritizing his pleasure over her well-being. It’d be one thing if his motivation was to make her feel better, but he was only interested in using her. Also makes me wonder if he wanted to see her in pain.

You should look up “avoidant attachment style”. I don’t want to play armchair psychologist here but that sounds very much like that! I say that as someone who does this too. If it resonates with you and you like to laugh check out @hellolanemoore on ig or TikTok, she posts a lot of funny videos about attachment styles.

The saddest part is it was always older women trying to tell me I would change my mind about wanting to get older. They can’t see past their own cage of insecurity without trying to get me into one!

I literally cannot WAIT to get old! I’m 24, but ever since I was a teenager I loved getting older. It breaks my heart when I see women so afraid or ashamed of aging. I admittedly have the benefit of having “good genes”, so I do know that as long as I take care of myself that I will look great, but regardless, getting older always signified getting wiser and more independent, too great things!

In my experience it is the opposite. My exbf literally told me he’s never complimented his friends, never told them how much he appreciates them. Then there’s my friends and I...I live 2500km away from them and we send each other letters, talk on the phone every few months, gifts at Xmas or bdays. Always say I love you, always share our triumphs and losses. We don’t talk every day or even every week but there is trust and love. Meanwhile, his friends also lived far away, he talked to them every …

Omg the Irish though! I worked at an Irish pub with lots of Irish men who’d come and work on a visa in my country, and wow did they ever get around. They’d fuck anything that would move but call a girl every name in the book for sleeping with them. I made sure to stay far away from them lol.

Honestly as a yt person who’s only dated yt men, I am sooooo flipping attracted to MENA men. Like drool, honestly. But, I stay away because of the intense patriarchal bullshit. I have met some gorgeous men before, but the complete misogyny is an instant turn-off.

That’s totally fair. We’ve all had different experiences! I have unfortunately experienced the UNethical non-monogamy (I.e, cheating) and while I am not a jealous person by nature, I’m really a one guy at a time gal. I really didn’t understand polygamy until I read “Sex at Dawn” by Christopher Ryan And Cacilda Jethá. Super interesting book (my fav nonfiction) that examines the theory that humans are monogamous by nature (spoiler, their conclusion is no). Honestly from what I’ve seen as a member …

I’m so thankful I have friends who are actively thoughtful, even though I’ve lived 2500km for the past three years. It’s really not even a big thing to do, like we know the bar is on the floor, but it shouldn’t be. My friend just had her second child in December and her first is almost three. Her oldest was just not sleeping, extra needy, super exhausted, and cranky, which leads to even more stressed and tired parents (with a newborn too!). So I (a happily childfree friend) asked what her oldest…

Like, that is not a compliment...putting “pretty little” in front of it doesn’t magically make it a cute take. I remember when I was 19 I worked at a bar, and this cocky lvm tried to make my nickname c*m dumpster...I thought it was hilarious since I was a virgin at the time. I would just laugh and he would be so confused. Another coworker eventually told him the truth, and he switched to calling me “Virgin Mary”. That term will always and forever be synonymous with low value for me.

Can we talk about how this persons version of sex work is raping sex workers? Rape has nothing to do with sex. It is entirely about power. Brothels and sex work has been around since forever and yet rape has too. The availability of sex work ≠ the disappearance of rape.

Was literally planning to not invite my bf to Christmas because I was feeling to anxious about it. I knew I wouldn’t be able to relax having him around the family, because my people pleasing ass would have been stressed trying to accommodate him. So that, along with a few other things (his emotional unavailability) push me to end things.

Thank you!!! Each day is a little easier! It’s just a matter of combatting the little things that come up. Funnily thing to happen: my ex was an athletic therapist, and yesterday I strained my oblique muscle. This song is hitting me in the feels. I just broke up with my first serious bf on Sunday. I fell hard in love (first time!), but the whole time I felt like my emotional needs were not being met and that he was keeping my at arms length emotionally. I brought it up and we ended up breaking up bc he admitted to being emotionally unavailable. Sigh. On paper he had so much going for him, but unfortunately he’s too hung up on ancient heartbreak to love. What I learned: That I am capable of falling in…

Just remember that other people don’t determine our worth. You have a deeper and greater worth than he was capable of appreciating. He wanted easy, like porn. If someone can’t see your value or importance then that’s their failure, not yours.

I totally get where your coming from! I don’t think I would classify him as “very vocal” since it’s something he shared privately with me, but I will certainly stay vigilant. And honestly, he is literally a grandpa with technology, didn’t know to press to pause people stories, didn’t even make any of his own social media accounts (his friends did) because he doesn’t really care for it.

I’m currently in a relationship with a guy who is vocal about his dislike of porn. He would watch it when he was single to jerk off, but as soon as he started seeing me he stopped masturbating entirely. He also doesn’t follow and IG “models” or anything like that. I’d honestly given up hope that guys like this even existed! Especially since he’s in his early 20s.

I’ve just started talking to this guy and I really feel like he is a good guy. Like he literally laid out 5 things he looks for in OLD profiles, why he swiped right, and we’ve had amazing chats. He doesn’t get defensive and has a lot of humility. He seems to respect people from different backgrounds and is very honest. We’re planning a picnic for our first date and I told him I wasn’t sure how much food to bring and he said he probably won’t eat as much because he’s going to be nervous. Like!!!!…

I’ve heard it a few times and it’s always stuck with me. If you’re obsessing over the conversations and the “should I or shouldn’t I” then you’re allowing someone else control over your sanity. It certainly is easier said than done though, just like evictions can be long and messy, so too can ridding a toxic man from your brain.

You said lots of great things, but I will diverge for one part. I don’t need to give them forgiveness. There’s this huge emphasis on needing to forgive the person who’s wronged you, and for so long I fought with that. I was raised Christian but am no longer one, but I’ve found so much freedom I’m not needing to forgive someone. You don’t owe them anything, especially forgiveness. It is possible to move on. I only ever forgive someone if it will be beneficial for my healing process, but sometimes…

The point is he’s not worth it. LVM aren’t worth a second more of your time once you’ve realized the truth about them. If he’s hurt you, the likelihood of him owning up to his mistakes is very low. Rather the chances of him avoiding blame, hurting you more, or pissing you off is very high. Don’t engage with someone who doesn’t care about you, it’s pointless. Don’t let him live rent free in your mind. Yes it’s hard, but you win nothing by sending that message.

I know! Like her downward spiral should’ve clued people in. Like a healthy relationship shouldn’t cause someone to react in such an unhealthy way. I think the fact that they are very involved with the church, is a big indicator that he can and will continue to get away with this behaviour. She is clearly being fed the submissive wife narrative, and now has to deal with a man child.

Yeah and he just starts badgering her. We definitely got some insight into their relationship and hopefully he either gets some therapy or she gets the heck out (or both). He’s gotta be something rough to basically cause Selena to self destruct.

Also did y’all notice the arrogant smile? And how she looked to him to see of he was serious or joking? And then after he smiled she seemed relieved and smiled. Like, oh good he’s joking! Very much victim like behaviour.

Sounds like how my brother talks to my SIL, I don’t think she’d let him call her “woman”, but he can be pretty confrontational and argumentative. He’s very “I’m always right”, even though she makes more money and has her M.A, and he has only had one stable job (and only recently). He’s a smart dude, but also an asshole too.

From the other side of things, as someone still trying to figure out what I want: I’m not sure if I want to get married, but I’m also self aware enough to understand that most of my motivation not to is fear based. I’m afraid of getting hurt. I don’t want to get married because that would mean I’ve publicly declared my love for this person and in the event it didn’t work out people would know that and pity me. I know that these are things that I need to work out in therapy but I’m not in a place…

I’m in my early 20s and almost all of my friends are married! They still support my singlehood though (even if they offer to set me up). I find lots of married people still like to live vicariously through their single friends! I definitely empathize with the desire to start over. My issue is that I’ve been moving back and forth from school to home and then plans to go away for my masters. I feel like I can’t offer commitment if I’ll be moving in a few months. Best of luck to you! Just continue …
