Yeah I guess that's what happens when fathers refuse to step up and take responsibility for their children.

How can single mothers be a cancer to society when they're the parent that stuck around? I think you mean it's the absent fathers that are the cancer to society.

80% of Facebook posts are the users sob stories. If someone is going to emotionally hurl, that's the place to do it.

I didn't say it was worse. And I didn't say they are the ones causing the pedophilia. They are the ones who created and perpetuate the stigma that this post is about.

Oh ok. Hmm, still not sure. I have spent time over at r/feminism, but I don't 100% belong there, as I disagree with a few of their chosen stances. I relate more to fourthwavewomen, when they aren't being too extreme. At least they have similar fundamental beliefs to mine. Although they tend hyper focus on a narrow few.. I also work for a not for profit men's mental health organization dedicated solely to helping men. So, I'm a bit of this and a bit of that, I suppose. I don't see why I need to p…

Not sure. What's the definition of "feminazi"? If it is anything relating to genocide, then no, I am not.

You're still playing the victim to your own game. Women aren't "taking advantage" of these perceived inequalities. They are simply just trying to live their lives. Equity looks like oppression when you come from a place of privilege. The real game has been rigged against women for thousands of years. Society is attempting to even the score, to let women have a chance to catch up and get on even playing ground. Then, once that arrives, true equality has a chance to exist. But it's a long long way…

Came to say the same thing. It's like, 99.9% their fault. If men want to see positive change, they need to advocate for one another and actively be that change.

I think they were merely pointing out that you are not indifferent to women. If you were, you wouldn't feel the need to be online boasting how much you don't need them, and instead would just be going about your life. We're not saying: "suck it up, you need women and will just have to deal with it." We are saying: "suck it up and stop bitching about women and go live your life. There is no "game." It's only you against yourself, playing make believe .

It doesn't matter if it is "benevolent" or not. The point is she doesn't get to choose whether she wants this "benevolence." This whole benevolent sexism argument is faulty. It is missing the point completely. Which is that women are lacking an autonomous choice. That's the issue. They don't get a say.

Well said. I am a single mother and live by this. I said something similar in another comment, but you put it much more eloquently. Thank you.

It's so sad that the mother will have to sacrifice her potential relationship with her daughter in order to save her.

I agree. I am a single mother. The bio dad has bowed out completely. No contact or child support (it's for the best though). I don't date. I do not want some man coming into my life and affecting my kid in any way. In my experience men hide who they are. They hide until they think they have you trapped.. and I am just not willing to let my child be exposed to some shady mofo with alternative motives.

Yeah this doesn't add up. If she was smart enough to build a nest egg for herself so as not to be financially controlled, why would she do something as dumb as handing the money over to him?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
