There's no reason to be delicate here. If you love and care for your child, you won't get him circumcised unless it has been proven beyond any reasonable doubt that it is medically necessary. It today's day and age, ignorance is a choice and choosing to mutilate your child because some kid's parents down the street did it is just that, ignorance.

It has to do with the lack of support men receive. Culturally, this is a prevalent issue where anytime a man struggles with any of these issues, he's seen as lesser.

I doubt anyone is actually paying this chick. This is too easy to make up just to get praise for being crazy and entitled.

It's very easy to require documented notification.

Simply give the man a set amount of time from when he's first notified, independent of the stage of pregnancy. This could also apply to children that are born without the man's knowledge.

Honestly, I've noticed this too and it's concerning because the little bit of legitimacy the sub has gained is going to be lost. I've been seeing a lot of responses that are purely emotional with no logical basis at all. To clarify, the comments I'm seeing are things that generalize women as a whole. They're saying things like "all women are only looking to find the next best guy" or "women only see men as wallets to take from". Absolute statements are rarely ever accurate and almost always ruin…

That's not how it works if you don't care about murdering men. Don't even know who you're talking about here at this point. No terrorists do a better job than US armed forces of avoiding killing children. They literally use children as weapons and kill them in front if their parents to send a message. So once again, incorrect. Al Qaeda was thinking about it they really did go through a tough decision making process including bringing in outside experts on ethics to check their decision. Is that …

They could put boots on the ground to find out That's not how it works, you don't just ask these people to kindly wait for you to get into position for a fair fight. This isn't paintball. They commit mass murder of children. Terrorist organizations like Al Aaeda, ISIS, etc.? Yeah, they do. That's partly why tough decisions have to be made. So don't "be in the area" Easy to say when you're not one of these people living in the same village your family has for generations. Don't invade other count…

Pretty sure that still doesn't demonstrate blatant targeting of children for the hell of it. I'm genuinely curious how many of the people criticizing this so heavily have actually been in the military or know anything about how these organizations work. They don't just walk into a town, quietly purchase a house and set up shop without anyone else noticing or being in on it. If you're in the area and you're not actively supporting their operations, you're dead.

Pretty sure that's not how the military operates, blatantly killing children and high fiving each other, but okay.

They'll defend the murderer just because it's a woman, and they won't care about the victim just because he was a boy. The whole thing makes me sick.

What a horrific thing to say. "Hey you were mutilated against your will at a detriment to your well-being, but what's done is done. Stop being a baby and get over it." Why are you even here? He has every right to be upset and is justified in his feelings. Where do you get off telling him it's pointless?

Stereotyping and judging someone based on their race is no better than doing so because of their sex/gender. To call one evil and not the other is nonsensical. The only way to move forward is to be better than those that pursecute. Spreading those ideas here will only give justification for this community to be banned and silenced. It is a disservice to the movement as a whole.

Don't see what a person's race has to do with it. Anyone can be ignorant. Comments like this degrade the legitimacy of this sub.

You're talking about multiple different issues and applying them to my position despite the fact that I'm talking about one, singular issue. I also never said the sole decider should be the income of the parents. If you can't focus on the one issue I'm actually discussing, I'm not going to waste my time engaging you further. If you want to discuss broken aspects of the current system as a whole, then that's fine, but it's a different discussion and you can't just take this segmented issue and in…

Never said anything about the gender of the parent, I just pointed out that not having custody should be independent of the amount of child support you pay. It doesn't matter if the father or the mother has majority custody. Child support isn't meant to "buy" time with the child. It's meant to provide for the child. If you're a parent who's lost the privilege of custody, you should not be absolved of your responsibility to the child, and yes, once again, that ALSO applies to the mother. A single…

Whatever you say bud. I've said this applies to either parent, male or female. Not sure why you've taken it upon yourself to crusade against me of all people. But whatever makes you happy I guess. Hopefully you didn't waste too much time writing your manifesto.

If you'd rather put your child at a disadvantage, that's yoyr prerogative, and you'd have to settle with that one day. You're still promoting a system and incentivizes neglecting a child in order to get out of any financial obligation. You're simply using the child to spite someone you don't like. Either the money taken from this person is a punishment to them after they abuse their child, or it's a way to help assist that child in recovering from the damage they suffered. Both of these are good…

But they don't get custody, so according to you they shouldn't have to pay? Unless you want to change your mind on the directly inverse relationship of custody to amount of child support. My point is that custody granted shouldn't be the deciding factor on who or how much child support is paid. In my opinion, if you abused your child, you should have to pay more child support to help compensate for the damage you've done and provide care to that child. If we tie custody to child support, then th…

And what if the father wants and gets full custody because the mother is abusive? Is she free of any financial obligation because she decided to start hurting her kids?

But the child does.
/r/MensRights15/09/21 02:00 PM

This actually the root of the issue. We need to make sure money is spent on the child and that's where 80% of the issue ends.

Definitely think this shouldn't be the case. Then being a crappy parent is your get out of jail free card. Don't wanna pay for the kid? Just neglect them so custody gets taken. Simple! /s

A lot of the people in this thread are treating children as little more than commodities. Whether or not each parent gets equal custody should not automatically be directly proportional to the amount of child support they pay. If someone becomes an abusive parent and loses custody, they shouldn't suddenly be absolved of all financial responsibility. This sounds more like a few guys trying to take their resentment of women out on the children. More money is going to produce more opportunities for…

I disagree, a trash parent, male or female, can still be held accountable without subjecting the child to their negative influence.

Violence is not the answer and will do nothing to move things in the right direction. I understand your anger and frustration. I feel it too, but we can't respond to injustice with injustice. Write letters voicing your disapproval, but don't make threats or you validate all the falsehoods spread about men. We're in this together, my friend, and we have to be tactful if we're going to make progress.
