What i find interesting, with using the example of Adele in this case and her divorce/child support, is that it did not mention how much shes payed her now ex-husband in both supposal support & child support before she ultimately was given custody of her child. It actually does. Use your eyes and fucking find it. It’s not hard. God fucking forbid someone looks out for another person. Maybe try with your girlfriend sometime, I can guarantee she and any other woman in your life can tell you of multiple experiences of feeling comfortable in a public setting and wishing someone had stepped. Actually it is an excuse. If someone is talking loud to a person who looks uncomfortable, anyone would be safe to assume something. I’m not going to go into what if’s cause that’s not the situation. The barista did not get up and shout at the guy or degrade him. I don’t get why making sure someone is comfortable is looked down upon

Something people aren’t noting in the comments is that the only reason the barista did anything was because the man was talking loudly and the girl looked uncomfortable. She did not go after the man or publically embarrass him. She was very non-confrontational and the girl ended up being ok and not uncomfortable. An employee saw possible early warning signs of discomfort and just wanted to make sure everything was alright

It was public, you're right, and someone did help. The barista did not go up to the man and call him creepy or unattractive or do anything to escalate, she checked in on the girl. I know that concept of simply just making sure everything is ok with someone in a public space is not super common, but it should be. Looking out for one another is not a hard or weird thing to do, especially in the manner in which the employee handled it.

I don't think it's man-hating, it's definitely pointing out a pattern of some older men taking advantage of younger women who may not have the same life experience that some of these guys have.
