It's not the aspergers, it's regular old maladaptive entitlement. Every redpiller has a background filled with some hardship or insecurity. Some of that hardship/insecurity may be related to them having aspergers. But ultimately, it's how they react to their problems that makes the difference - redpill is just filled with those who reacted to theirs in a bad way.

I mean, no one is obligated to pursue a relationship. You don't need to date. And you should be doing all of these things for YOU, not women. Having good health, education, stable income, etc. is important with or without a partner. But there's no sense being bitter about basic human pattern recognition. The reason people are paying attention to you now as opposed to during the pandemic is that they're responding positively to someone who appears to be taking good care of themselves. Especially …

Female and women ARE the same if you take a biologically-grounded/evo-psych based view on mate-selection and gender. Redpill-brand evolutionary psychology is pseudoscience. The guy who started all of it said as much himself. The wolves don't have alphas, and neither do we. There are no neurological differences between males and females, we don't have different brains and our hormones don't make that much of an impact. Doctors know this. Psychologists know this. They're not all in on something, y…

No, you can't. That's why every sociological study has a margin of error. And why so many sociological studies blatantly contradict one another. But even then, there are no neurological differences between men and women. This isn't a debate anymore, it's a matter of scientific fact, the male and female brains do not differ in any way, same as any of our other non-reproductive organs don't, and the minimal influence of hormones isn't remotely significant enough to warrant entirely different metho…

I don't disagree, I simply am saying that people need to stop sating they are doing anything helpful when they are not. Not helping is fine, those who don't want to ought tog et out of the ways of those who want to. No one can help them but them, if they haven't hit step 0 yet. And most of this comment section at least hasn't. It's poor phrasing that makes people way more defensive than receptive to advice. It basically sets the grown that people who are struggling with relationship of women of …

Not only is it not other people's responsibility to break into the pipeline and start pulling men out of it, but also doing so doesn't work. These are issues where men themselves have to flip their own switch and save themselves, as some men here have done. Flipping said switch will not mean they instantly transform from incels into male feminists or whatever, no, but it doesn't have to for the long journey of healing to begin. Because the switch is the "listen to people" switch, and listening t…

female is proven Reason number one why women won't talk to you. They're women, not females. You literally use the word men a few words later, so there's no excuse for that besides thinking of women in raw scientific terms like lab subjects - things to dissect with "data." Which is gross and dehumanizing and not something that wins you friends that aren't men. And when your belief is not justified by data IRL... Dude, an opinion piece on Medium is not "data IRL." Stepping outside and interacting …

If you're looking for a cure-all solution, that's not what this is even meant to provide. Treating women as human beings isn't going to get you a girlfriend - that's not the point. The point is it's what you do, first and foremost because it's what's right and what women deserve, but a secondary point is also that it's the minimum requirement to find a good partner. Good partners want people who treat them like human beings. If you can't do this much, you're out of the game forever (unless you a…

That's not some natural law. Some will, but some won't. And while most dads probably don't, some dads certainly do. Some people are shallow, many are not. Some are desperate, many are not. None of this can be boiled down to a formula. People like who they like. This isn't even a "there are exceptions to every rule" thing - there simply aren't rules. You'll find girls that fit stereotypes, just like you'll find men that do. And you'll find plenty that defy them too. It all means nothing in the gr…

It sounds a lot like you're treating women as a distinct sort of people you have a different method of interacting with, as if conversing with them is just like having to change the way you'd talk with a boss or a friend. They're not like those things. "Treat women as humans" means don't treat them differently for being women. Them being women is entirely irrelevant. The meaning isn't that complicated or outlandish, and it's far from being "horrible advice." If anything, it's elementary advice, …

Better sure, but not Greek god better. Also, young fathers exist, and few of them I've seen in real life are exceptionally attractive (and almost all the young dads I've seen that are, are very present on social media - family vloggers and the like - and so have a vested interest in taking care of themselves.) As for women, that's not really a fair assessment because "conventionally attractive" for women is a way broader spectrum than it is for men, to the point of being meaningless and inconsis…

People who genuinely believe that you need to be some Greek god to get women, I honestly wonder if they've ever met a dad. Doesn't even need to be their own, just anyone's dad. It is beyond rare any random dad is conventionally attractive, particularly wealthy, supremely funny, tall as a bean stalk or whatever else. Far more often, personally, I'm lead to wonder how in the fuck anyone would want to date them, and yet there they are with wives and children. That on its own should be proof enough …

I don't know what the fuck happened to the rest of the comment section, it's very unbecoming of a subreddit like this, but yes, you're entirely correct. To the many who apparently need a refresher: a "human being" means a regular person. An autonomous entity with their own desires and values, things which will not always align with your own, or with what you assume should be present based on how they look. They're not mysteries to be unravelled, or trophies to be won, or toys to be used. There i…

Bosses, parents, friends, siblings, women. 🎶 One of these things is not like the other 🎶 (And just to cover all my bases I guess, it's women that are not like the others. All of those other things are relations. Women are not relations. If your boss is a woman, you're not interacting with a woman. You're interacting with your boss. If you default to seeing your boss as a woman first, and not your boss, you've got work to do.)

Why are red pill channels started? Because it pays the bills. The men who get sucked into that sphere tend to be quite lucrative marks for all types of scams. Why are they allowed on YouTube? Because it, like all social media companies, cares primarily about engagement and ad money, not morality. Any and all moderation of their site is to maximize its marketability - so long as red pill is marketable (and it is - plenty of advertisers are willing to sponsor red pill videos), that genre will pers…

Dating apps are trash period. Not only do they instill a false scarcity mentality, they encourage people to be extremely superficial and make instantaneous character judgments based on what minimal information a person is willing to share about themselves online. 90% of the time it's just a recipe for incompatibility and resentment, even in those instances where people actually get together. You don't date on dating apps. You make yourself a product and advertise yourself as best you can, and it…

That's not true, though. I also have poor reading comprehension, or so I was told throughout my entire time in school, but I'm able to learn. It just requires a different approach. If you really just want hook-up sex, and there's nothing wrong with that, there are groups and dating apps made for you to find people with the same thing in mind. That's because most people aren't interested in that, so it's easier to make communities out of the ones who are. As far as the women you personally know, you can't and shouldn't assume they're going to be interested. You should actually assume the opposite and go with the flow. A more important question is, do you actually like these girls as people, or are you just trying to speedrun into sexting? Cause it feels like you’re using these convos as a means to an end, rather than enjoying them for what they are. It’s easy to run out of things to say when you’re not genuinely engaged in the convo and listening for topics to build off of.

For the manosphere, absolutely it is about seeking validation. This is really a problem with most modern dating, but they take it to the extreme - looking for their partners to complete them, make them feel secure and fulfilled, what have you. And I think that's due to how our culture talks about unconditional love. When you presume all love is supposed to be unconditional, it'll be very easy to fall into complacency. On one hand, a lot of men didn't ever experience unconditional love from their…

Yes. Healthy attraction isn’t a need for validation, it’s a desire to be with someone else because you like them in particular - not just their sex in general. Speculation time, but I’m willing to bet a majority or at least a significant minority of the manosphere are aromantic, if not also asexual, but they simply refuse to explore that possibility. Rather, they’ve imbibed heteronormativity and forgotten that non-straight, non-sex-filled relationships exist and can be more fulfilling than what …

I'm not sure what to say, other than don't let the people where you live jade you to everyone else on the planet. Some places are just filled with backwards, shitty people. It all depends on the crowd you're surrounded by. If you don't live in a major city, I can imagine that's why you're having so much trouble. You say that you disagree with the notion of all women having internalized patriarchy, but if this isn't the point you're making, then your wording is severely muddying your actual point. The following is a good example of why: Conditions of slavery where there appeared to be some sort of consent between a black woman and a white man are very much comparable to men and women in a western patriarchy. It isn't at all comparable to chattel slavery. If you would like to compare it to the racial hier…

You're just assuming men are all brutes that scare women, quite a silly way to look at it. Your definition of coercion is so broad its comical. No I'm not. I wrote another comment saying exactly the opposite of that, but even if you don't read it, none of what I said suggests that men are brutes. Men are just as capable as women of being coerced or lied to. Coercion is defined as "the use of intimidation or threats to force (or prevent) someone to do something they have a legal right to do (or n…

That's completely true though. Coercion is a thing, and women may say yes not because she's interested, but out of fear of the consequences of saying no. Having sex under false pretenses is also a thing, for example, having unprotected sex with someone who lies about not having an STI - something virtually no one would agree to if properly informed.

While I agree that patriarchy means that men have extra responsibilities when it comes to ensuring consent, it’s an extreme reach to say women can’t consent to sex so long as there is patriarchy. That’s a sex negative view straight out of the 80s and by all rights it should’ve stayed in the 80s. Women have agency and the capacity to make important decisions, from which career they’d like to pursue to who they’d like to date (if they even choose to), and, yes, whether or not they’d like to have s…

Massive, massive step. I promise you, if you can stay away, you’re going to notice you feel happier without their bullshit ringing in your ears. That said, I would remind you, the problem with them isn’t that they keep you at home. It’s that they make you view dating as a game to win, rather than a relationship that develops naturally. Hopefully you won’t be going out and applying their tactics in real life - that’d just make you PUA, which is a step backward.

If she calls herself a feminist while doing stuff like this, then she's doing a terrible job at feminism. I won't say "then she's not a feminist" because I don't get to control who uses the label, but the fact of the matter is, feminism is expressly opposed to everything she's doing. With that said, you didn't call her out for "emasculating" her husband per se. You called her out for reinforcing toxic masculinity. Evolutionary psychology isn't (entirely) a myth. "Evolutionary psychology" as put forward by redpillers, however, is complete and utter bullshit. I could get into the wave of recent studies which have found no discernible differences between the male and female brains - in the same way there's no difference between the male and female stomach or spleen - but most redpillers don't even delve that deep into the research. It really is a shame how thoroughly some men buy into the myth of “evolutionary psychology”, what is more commonly known as gender essentialism. The pseudoscientific belief that women and men’s psychologies are fundamentally different, to the point that they believe they can game a woman’s mind as if they’re training a dog. You know what turns women off more than anything? Being told they’re as predictable as an housepet. There is no “female desire.” Only the desires of individual women, which a…

Yes, women and men have the same amount of sex. And both have the same amount of people available to them as one another. How people of each sex tend to use their opportunities they have is what leads men as a whole to seemingly have a harder time. Most men are bad in bed. Some men are additionally violent in bed. This is true in committed relationships, but is especially evident in hookup situations, where most men approach sex as an accomplishment for him rather than an experience for all part…

My thoughts are... 1) The Roommates podcast is gender essentialist trash. 2) It's hilarious watching the interviewer. He's really struggling to get her to pathologize women's cheating as some sort of biological impulse but she keeps reverting back to theories based in psychology (albeit her theories are quite wack as it is). 3) Women and men cheat at exactly the same rate. Because misandry doesn't have the weight of an entire culture and all of human history behind it, while misogyny does. Misogyny is the default experience for most women interacting with any man, even in our post-feminist modern society. Well, yes. Confidence isn't a cure-all fix to dating issues. It's a necessary first step, though. I think of it like this: to drive a car, it needs to have gas. But putting gas in the car doesn't get you anywhere on its own - it's just a preparation. Likewise, to have a (healthy) relationship, you need confidence. It's not going to get you a date, though. And the reasons why it would benefit you are twofold: 1 - Not every movement needs to cater to your identities specifically to be a good force for society as a whole. The Civil Rights movement didn't specifically benefit white people - I hope you can understand why that doesn't matter in the slightest. It's the righ…

Literally no one said you were those men. All that was said is that men force men into the draft, not women. And no, it’s not internalized misandry, because that can’t happen without overarching societal misandry, and that doesn’t exist.

God forbid we engage with something that isn’t earmarked for us. I’ve never felt better with myself as a human being than I have since I started calling myself a feminist. And I happen to be a man. Either you can try to explain me away as a wild outlier, or you can look into it and see what could possibly make me say such things. I guarantee that the latter would benefit you far more.

Upholding toxic masculinity doesn't directly, no. But the beliefs underlying that behavior will directly affect women when, eventually, a man interacts with a woman. Is that so?? Ha i had no idea, so been nurturing is seen as unhelpful and also gracefulness, gentleness, empathy and humility? The more you know i guess. It's incredibly difficult talking to you when you can't argue in good faith. But, no, it's more like their perceived irrationality and submissiveness, which has been and still is u…

Belying that self-hating behavior is almost always an unchallenged assumption about women and their nature as a sex. Masculinity and femininity are seen in our culture as two diametric opposites, and femininity is overwhelmingly ascribed the traits society deems unhelpful, immature, etc. A man need not be consciously thinking "I hate women" to perpetuate this state of affairs - he only need never question the fact that the traits he hates in himself, are the very same traits traditionally viewed…

That a dozen or so women have had such a say on war, doesn't mean that women are responsible for their decisions, any more than men are responsible for men's wars. "Most wars were waged by men" is only ever invoked because so many men want to pin blame for on women for the perceived misandry of the draft. The fact remains, it's overwhelmingly men who draft men, and it's men who overwhelmingly start the wars to be drafted for in the first place. Pointing to the fact that some queens did it once, …

I think it reveals so much when people hyper-fixate on the name rather than the problem it addresses. But no, it shouldn't be called internalized misandry. It's not a hatred of men for being men. It's an underlying fear of being seen as a feminine. It's an unhealthy and emotionally destructive - a.k.a. toxic - method of shielding one's masculinity from perceived threats.

And what do these anecdotes prove? By the way, two of the three of the prime ministers you cited were most known for leading their nations in defensive wars. Thatcher didn't randomly declare war on Argentina, and Meir didn't randomly declare the Yom Kippur War.

In centuries past, women were often not considered to have valid health concerns. See: "hysteria." This gave rise to lasting health and social disparities between men and women in some regards, and as a means of correcting for them, the health field has shifted to addressing women's health as women's health. There's absolutely no reason for this to be controversial. Does this mean that men's health is being treated as well as it could be? No. But once again, it's not because of misandry, but mis…

Well, these kinds of ideas I think are flawed because so few people take them seriously An idea's validity doesn't stem from its popularity or lack thereof. What feminist will protest furiously in the streets for the right to be left to die or be traumatized in war like a man? [...] it is easier to squirm and look for the needle of female suffering in the haystack of male suffering and cynically claim things like the draft is misogynistic or that, taking the idealistic and therefore useless rout…

Society is far too broad. Meanwhile, the "ones in power" are not systemically ignoring men's issues. In actuality, they are on the war path against women's rights on a daily basis, both federally and locally.

In fact, there are congressmen sitting in Washington as I type, who have gone on record complaining that the military ran ads depicting women in combat roles. People can't claim to be surprised that conscription is male only when our elected officials are still this openly misogynistic.

I am a man currently registered with the selective service. If Putin loses his mind any more than he already has, I'll be drafted. I think I know that conscription is an issue. I simply have alternative explanations of why it disproportionately affects men, beyond "feminism hates men" or "it's trendy to be a misandrist." Because both statements are untrue.

I used to think that society was built to oppress men. I learned that it isn't. any problem that is exclusive or majority of the male gender becomes treated as a neutral problem Acknowledging the misogyny inherent to many laws and cultural norms that harm men, doesn't mean denying the harm done to men. It means uprooting a problem at its sources, rather than continually nipping at the weeds above that some people call "misandry."

I understand how a message like this could be the one that finally pulls some men out of their misogyny. Yet... this same line of thinking can end up leading other men into false persecution complexes. That's what happened to me. Misogyny and misandry aren't equal opposites. At their barest dictionary definitions, yes, sure. But in practice, no, they absolutely aren't. Misandry doesn't have the weight of an entire culture behind it. Misogyny does. As men, if we are met with a true misandrist, we…
