Don't overthink it. When people say not to give any fucks, they just mean to stop worrying about that stupid little voice in your head that tells you you're unworthy. Want to hold her hand? Ask or take her hand. Want to kiss her but unsure how to initiate it? Just simply ask her. Remember she's a person too, and is likely just as nervous as you are (if not more).

Introduce yourself and initiate friendly conversation with as many cute girls as you can. This is your school. You're super important, talkative, and outgoing with everybody (guys, girls, teachers, professors, etc.) Find opportunities to show you're chill. My calculus teacher asked our class if we had any questions for a problem she just finished integrating. I raised my hand. "Yes?" "I'm sorry, I'll be completely honest, but I zoned out halfway through the solution, could you explain how you go…

I started college last year at 30 (was in the military for quite awhile), and I can definitely agree on most of these points. Every classroom I've walked into for the first day basically had all the girls sitting together, all the boys sitting together, everyone on their phones and practically dead silent. I'll do a quick glance around the room and see a gorgeous girl sitting alone. For some odd reason it seems most of the boys in the room are trying to stay as far away as possible from her. I m…

OP, I'm just barely starting to get over this issue...at 30. You just have to be honest and comfortable with yourself. I know...much easier said than done. Think of it like this: What can you "offer" her? For myself I was a former rescue swimmer in the navy, I'm a fairly devout Catholic with a solid moral and charitable background. I've been through depression, body image issues, and other problems before. I'm financially stable, know how to cook, and am currently raising a puppy. I use these qu…

Oh ok, I gotcha. I knew that form of 'diss,' but for some reason it looked like an acronym with how you capitalized it. I figured it was some PUA lingo or something, lol I'm not worried much atm about this one girl. Got dinner and a movie this weekend with a girl from my church, and I've gotten a few numbers over the past week as well ;)

Well, part of the problem may be I have no idea what "DISS" means, lol.

I think if someone was that depressed a compliment would be a temporary uplift but it would quickly fade away. I've been depressed my entire life, but it started getting very severe the past few years as my 30th birthday approached. Reason being my depression was related to my poor self-esteem and body-image, due to many years of bullying. I've never had a girlfriend, never been laid, and well...you turn 30 and it becomes sort of a crisis, which of course only makes things worse. I started seein…

30 year old virgin here. If you think you're sweating now, wait until your late-20s. That is...if you do what I did, and dwell on it all day every day. I wouldn't personally recommend it. Might be a bit awkward for someone my age if I was trying to go for a pickup act in a bar in hopes of a one-night stand, but it likely won't be a problem for any girls I develop an actual loving relationship with. Long story short, it's just a word. The only way you can let that word hurt you is if you let it. …

That's fair. Weed effects everyone differently, and the effects can also vary widely by strain. That's why I don't feel I can personally endorse or recommend it. As much improvement as I've gotten, it hasn't been a smooth road AT ALL. It's hard to forgive yourself when you've been mercilessly beating yourself up for nearly two decades. Weed helped me focus on these issues, but not without the cost of uprooting some deeply seeded emotional pain.

I've lived my entire life thinking I was the ugliest guy in the world (thanks middle school bullying!) I never even had a romantic date until I was 29. Take my advice for what it's worth, but if you feel ugly...CHANGE IT! I didn't like my double chin, so I grew a beard. I didn't like the way my hair poofed from the sides, so I got a high & tight. I hated how hairy I am, so I bought a back shaver, clippers, and many other tools to keep my identity as a werewolf a secret. I didn't like having an e…

Hey man, I'm only a few years behind you at 28 (almost 29), and I have a lot of similarities to your story. Health issues (70% disabled after military), feeling I'm not good enough (self-esteem issues from middle school), putting women on a pedestal, too many video games, etc. Just want to let you know you definitely aren't alone in this. I know I'll be 31 as well in the blink of an eye (screw you sped up time), but this year is the year I'm kicking out the voice in my head that always told me, …
