Great to read your good news! Hopefully she will accept the settlement agreement. If not, then courage as you see this thing through to the end.

I have a friend whose ex didn't want him Facetiming their son on her parenting time. It took a court appearance, but they were in and out in two minutes: "Of course the father can FaceTime his son." $20k for a 2 min court appearance, but reasonable phone or text contact while in the other parent's care is very common. I agree that the older the child, the stronger the case.

Your kids are someday going to grow up and leave the nest. Your spouse is, ideally, your primary partner for life. Make sure your spouse is number one and the kids are (a very close) number two, and that your kids know this, so that when your number twos grow up and move away, you're still with number one.

I need to congratulate you, even ten days later. I may be in for a similar fight, and this is good to read. Like you, I document everything meticulously, and she forgets or deliberately mis-remembers things that I can prove are false. I don't want the fight. But if it happens, I'm going in loaded for bear, and I won't stop until I have a verdict. Stories like yours are bracing. Thank you for posting. And, for being honest and clear-eyed enough to state that "there is no real happy ending - a lot…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
