5'8 here, always seen as shorter. Always. I am usually weighing in at 185-195 vascular and lean, so that may alter the perception as I likely appear pretty wide (for lack of a better term). A rape accusation, even if unfounded, has a disastrous effect on someone's life. Even if it is proven false, that person is still known as the guy that got accused of rape.
