I agree that the bitching is prevalent in both, but I strongly disagree that this sub is remotely about understanding women. It promotes no discourse and is just a circle jerk of reinforcing opinions on how shitty women are. Also, upon the topic of going your own way, I feel like there is a contradiction on a sub being focused on men becoming independent while also being a bunch of men very focused on obsessing over their rage towards women. That is just another form of obsession comparable to t…

Woah that’s pretty interesting, have you ever read The Sixth Extinction? Although definitely not the most scientific of books, it was cool to hear about those kind of events throughout history and going forward.

Interesting, guess I wasn’t up to date with the research they seem to keep going back and forth on it! Thanks for the info

Actually, Id say that if they had proper evidence, scientists have much to gain by publishing inflammatory or revolutionary and eye catching Papiers because this is the stuff that news outlets grab onto and which makes said scientists renowned. Agreeing with the status quo does not seem to help as much as people find it much more “boring”.

First off, the first link both of the parents are really “white” or Caucasian. In fact, it serves to prove the point that I made that classical racial classifications are ridiculous as the genetic variance between say a Hungarian and a white Australian can be way more than between what we say are different races... but I digress. I actually did not know of this issue so thank you for the new information. But once again the differences here are genetic, and like I’ve said in many places, traditio…

I don’t have time to take up this argument, but I recommend you read the excellent Guns, Germs, and Steel or consult an expert anthropologist. New arguments and evidence suggest the advancement of Europe ahead of other ares do the world is due to environment, geography, climate, resources, etc. one point being the east west iris ration of Europe and Central Asia as it allowed civilization to spread along a similar climate unlike say the north south orientation of Africa which limited development…

Yeah did some more research into it and it looks like new evidence say it was more like 100000 years ago and acted as a long bottleneck rather than a typical catastrophe

I suppose I don’t believe the spirit is a thing but rather a imagined manifestation of what people see as themes throughout another’s actions or beliefs.

Don’t worry mate, I knew the cost when I posted it! At least someone gained some knowledge, hopefully.

But you didn’t read the paper? You read a Wikipedia results section? Here’s the thing: I trust the various rigorous reviews of the study by experts who understand the data and have read the paper which would explain it in much more depth than a Wikipedia article results table. Also the other one is just a random graph?? The problem is these results support two entirely different conclusions, which you would understand if you researched it more in-depth

Also I do not know what to make of the graph. What source is it from? Studies? I do not trust just random data, anyone can plot a graph.

Lmao did you read the interpretations of the study?? Maybe actually read the Wikipedia link.

Find me someone who claims that? A respected scientist? Of course, they may say that the differences are very very tiny genetically. Ah of course and you the enlightened one would know so much better because you have no agenda.

Where in gods name is the evidence that there exists this sweet spot of genetic difference?? Not to mention the idiocy because many of what we see as “races” are not good groupings genetically. Races as we see them are social constructs much more than biological. The AAA says that “there is greater variation within "racial" groups than between them. In neighboring populations there is much overlapping of genes and their phenotypic (physical) expressions. Throughout history whenever different gro…

Ah of course the most influential of arguments from people unwilling to accept the evidence presented by experts. Laughing.

It’s funny because you ignored half of my argument, completely “what if” another and then called me retarded. The problem is I know multiple mixed race people who fit perfectly well into society. Just as any other person does. So be very careful using biology as an excuse. In fact, every mixed race person I knew I never would have even noticed it and thus clearly biologically I would not have refrained form treating them normally. To get into a discussion of physical appearance I know many Asian…

No. Just no. First of all, just so you know, modern scientists and researchers consider race to be a construct of society much more than a biological one. Sternberg, Grigorenko & Kidd in a 2005 paper said that “Race is a socially constructed concept, not a biological one. It derives from people's desire to classify” and the AAA rejects the classifications as being biological saying “clear that human populations are not unambiguous, clearly demarcated, biologically distinct groups" and that "any …

Health issues??? Health issues would probably be more likely by mixing with people most genetically similar to you just so you know. The second one is the only one I could see in certain case. The third reason is ridiculous because children often don’t look like either parent anyway and what’s wrong with that if they do? Also they will still look like one or both of you, just a mix like normal. Finally the last couple ones all come from people having attitudes like yours in the first place.

My bad, wrong word choice, I meant resent. As in you resent that this kind of woman are the only stock available (of course not true) when this is also similar in a lot of men. Maybe, but I think this is more about people going their own way because a relationship or marriage is not worth it for the people here, not that it is not worth it in all cases. For many people, I’m sure it greatly improves their lives.

TIL that this subreddit is also racist! Hahah actually though what do you mean when you say not all races are the same? I’ll speak to you logically: Of course, genetically, the difference between different race is very very very insignificant. For many reasons, one because it is speculated that even as close as 50000 years ago the human population was bottlenecked to 5000. If you don’t know what a bottleneck refers to in regards to genetic you can look it up. In fact, our ideas about race are ex…

To be fair to one of my favorite poets, he never said this. Ironically enough the first record I could find was by a woman and was: Bigamy is having one husband too many. Monogamy is the same

You want your motivation to come from unwarranted hate of the opposite gender? That doesn’t seem very productive. Of course, you are blinding yourself to the wide range of women in society, but that’s your choice I suppose. Furthermore, I know many many men who are like this, so I would not exactly begrudge the opposite sex for similar behavior. I think relationships and marriage are worth it sometimes and sometimes not, just like most things.

To be fair, women complained legitimately for many years. To claim otherwise would be deny the facts. Now listen here: there are many ways in which we could argue about the inequality of society in regards to gender throughout history in more nuanced fashions, but let us just look at the most obvious examples. Throughout history, though not unanimously, men have been almost always in positions of power. In fact, it was not until the 20th Century that women could be part of parliament. Now you sa…

These are the posts I like to see on this subreddit... not people who claim to be going their own way spending their time obsessing angrily over women.

To be fair, everyone has a need to control the narrative that’s what this whole sub is about. To feel individualistic, a feeling of control is inherently necessary. Good relationships will have equal control of the two people’s narratives, or if not equal, control that satisfies the individualism of the two people. Your reply reminds me of the quote: “everything in life is about sex, except sex. Sex is about power.” I understand if people don’t want a relationship, but I have found that you can …

Where was the need for this unwarranted angry outcry and display of resentment to a random woman? I came to this sub looking for motivational ways to spend my time independently. Instead I find men who think the best way to go their own way is to have themselves and their time consumed by anger and disdain towards women.

Do you begrudge women this? This whole sub appears to be about men going their own way but instead I see a bunch of men too caught up in their disdain for women which seems to consume their lives. At least, that’s what it looks like.

I think he’s saying the irony of promoting going your own way and then calling out how women complain all the time about men while simultaneously complaining about women and clearly spending your time penning up huge amounts of disdain that takes over your life... Lol. Ooh also the irony of pointing out how women claim that “patriarchy ruined my life” and saying how ridiculous that is while saying the exact same thing but about women.
