I agree that there should be some way to deter women from bringing false rape accusations just to get back at someone etc, but evidence in rape cases tends to be shaky at best. There has to be some way to differentiate between a woman who is straight up telling lies and one who was raped but for whatever reason lacked the physical evidence (ie no tearing etc) as is fairly common.

Oh ok I thought you were saying that men were unfairly affected by drug laws or something since you also mentioned military service. Makes more sense now :)

...drug laws apply to everyone, unless I'm missing something...

LOL it is you who needs to get in the real world if you think that catcalling and porn have much to do with men liking women. It can be that but a lot of the time women feel threatened by catcalls and the sex industry, while it can provide women with money, makes product that is pretty demeaning towards women in terms of content in a lot of cases and is not exactly a safe working environment. Lets also not forget that sex may not be the end goal for women like it is for men. Given that women are…

But for most men, even above average men frankly, if women shouted things like "hey sexy" or "you're hot" or came up to them saying "can I get your number?" in the street this would be such a shock he might just about fall over and wonder if he was in some TV prank. Most men are totally invisible to women, and they need to pluck up a huge amount of courage to overcome rejection to keep going back and trying again until something works. This is why for men the phrase "getting lucky" makes sense, …

You must be new to reddit if you haven't seen/heard that sentiment. Unless you weren't being sarcastic in your earlier comment.

Well, you probably don't want to hear about why it is in fact not the cakewalk men think it is. However, man or woman, it IS hard to be the only person in your friend group without a relationship.

True. I get an enormous amour of shit though because a lot of people just don't understand that I have like next to 0 "fun calories" before I start getting fat. I get "oh you're not ordering ice cream? it's not healthy deprive yourself you know! You've got an eating disorder" if I'm ever honest about the fact that I like summertime too much to ruin it by feeling fat in a bikini. Vain? Sure. I can't fucking wait for the day when one of those girls who judged me so hard breaks up with that longtim…

I just don't get showered with attention from guys. I see the guys here talk like every girl has guys flirt with her and ask her out and it is so not the case in my life. It can be really disenheartening to read about how guys are so eager to ask a girl out when that's not happening in your own life. Makes you wonder what's wrong with you that guys aren't falling at your feet like others here claim to see them doing.

Negging is a great way to get a girl to blacklist you.

It means she gives 0 fucks about her friends. No girl should EVER be doing this.

Right? I figured that it was a fairly low risk situation I could use to get some experience.

Field Report: I saw a guy at school (a university at which I am a visitor, not where I graduated from) today wearing a shirt from the university I got my degree from. Tried to start a conversation. Didn't result in anything really special but at least I talked to him. I didn't lose out on much because he's about 20 and I'm turning 24. Maybe that's too picky but I don't think I want a younger guy.

I've thought about doing christian mingle, but I feel like I have something to prove before I do that. I've never been able to get a guy interested the natural way so I need to find an organic relationship before I am ready for online.

Yeah, you pretty much had to be Blake Lively or Kate Upton to get a date there. I've already got one degree but I'm taking another class towards grad school prerequisites. Unfortunately it's a very small class and the two men that are in it are both sophomores (19 to my 24) so I feel like its best to let them slide.

That would be nice. I've sorta forgotten what it was like to have a crush on someone. My university was 70% Female so I either did not see the guys (I had multiple classes that were all female) or did not make their cut due to their abundance of options. I don't even have guy friends from college.

I feel like I must be doing something really stupid when I smile because I've been trying to smile to get them to come over and it doesn't work. I've tried looking at them multiple times too. It's like they see right past me. Maybe I should just get a blinking sign that says single and put it on my head.

Half because I have solid friends, I'm just not good with the boy department. It's sort of been in my face lately because my two single friends started dating each other. I had a breakthrough of sorts last night though because they are super happy and that sorta helpekd wash out some of the bitter. My friends tell me that I'm probably missing some signals of some sort too, and that's why I decided to sub stuff like askmen and seddit. I feel like it will benefit everyone if I know what I'm lookin…

Problem... I've tried it and that's not how it works. The last time my friends and I went to a bar I showed up a little early on purpose to sit by myself and see if I could get more results outside of a group. There were quite a few who I smiled at hoping they would come over and they barely acknowledged it. Great for them if they were in relationships or were crushing hardcore on some other girl already, I hope they get/keep that wonderful lady, but I don't think its possible that every guy I c…

They wouldnt. But they have to, so they do. Case-in-point, me sitting over here looking through seddit articles trying to figure out what exactly I need to do to have guys approach me like they do my other friends. Men largely underestimate what women do until they move in or have daughters. I'm sure there's some stuff that men do for women that women under-appreciate too.

The only thing guys have to work harder on is approaching. Women have to be able to make conversation back with the guy on top of looking presentable which takes a fucking boatload of energy and money. And I cannot believe a member of THIS sub which is all about getting hot babes is telling me that it's not about looks. I need to quit bitching though, because at least you take time out of your day to look at stuff like seddit and work on improving yourself. I'm just super frustrated with the fac…

Do you wax your eyebrows? Your lip? Dry your hair? Straighten/Curl your hair? Put on makeup? Get highlights? Get your nails done? How much thought goes into your outfit before you leave the house? Do you wear swim trunks regardless of stomach pooch, or do you feel shamed for doing that if your stomach is not flat? Do you think about that before you eat your burger and beer? Men just don't realize how much time and mental energy women spend on those things. I'm sure there are things that men do t…

Fucking thank you. There's nothing wrong with a girl giving out her number, but it's harder for a girl because men are programmed to look for superficial characteristics that most are either born with or not. I'm not saying girls aren't shallow but guys aren't expected to look for "potential" or give girls a chance just because they were asked out so they can be picky on the spot. There will be less pain overall if guys man up a little bit and start asking girls out again because they have a low…
