And of course r/niceguys made him out to be some creepy loser. Which usually means he's onto something.

Heels i can agree on, but makeup? The whole point of makeup is to hide your flaws and accentuate your qualities, sure it can be, and is used as a fashion statement, but most women don't put makeup to follow the latest fashion trends, they do it because they want to look prettier than they really are.

See this is exactly what the problem is. You wouldn't think she's insecure for using make up, right? Meanwhile a man enhances his height by two inches and immediately everyone thinks he's an insecure loser.

It's an artificial enhancement all the same, the same way plastic surgery is, just a bit less permanent.

It would be a good idea, just don't tell anyone you're doing it because you'll immediately be labeled as a pathetic, insecure loser. Meanwhile women can, and are encouraged to use make up as much as they want and to enhance their looks. A 4/10 woman appearance wise can become a 7/10 just with makeup, and somehow that's fair.

Oh not really, women do chase if they deem a guy hot enough.

So if most men (most are in the ballpark of average) are not worth it, average women will just go chasing top tier guys who will never commit?

I am blaming male thirst

That's the point, they have access to those hotter men, and that's why they rate 80% of guys as below average.

But average women get bombarded with attention on dating sites.

Even after years of spending time thinking about this, i still don't know exactly why. I get that women have massively inflated standards, and that's mostly because men constantly throw themselves at anything that has a vagina, but still, why can't women objectively rate men?

Gay men find them attractive, or at least attractive enough for a hook up. It's just that men find even 3/10 women "attractive" in some sense, while women simply don't find average guys attractive.

So basically, the average man gets almost nothing, while the average woman gets pretty much whatever she wants?

I could offer an opposite situation in my case, i went from being reasonably attractive (maybe a 6.5 or a 7) to overweight and pretty fucking gross honestly. From the time i was 15 to the time i was 21 i always had a girlfriend, a few longer relationships and some shorter ones, but i was never single for more than two weeks. But over the course of my last relationship, which ended two months ago, i got fat (from 180 to 245, pretty big difference), i stopped working out, i'm ashamed to say this b…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
