GF pisses you off: difference between acting angry/withdrawn vs acting butthurtThis is a good one. It is a bit hard to see clear when you are emotional and you cleared it up well for me. Thanks! | /r/askTRP | 15/05/16 08:32 PM
Need advice: GF going to a bar with female friend precedentWell, I commented on her friend's relationship and pointed it out (see updated post). She got defensive about her friend, but agreed that going to a bar "like that" would be inappropriate. She tried to argue that it wouldn't be "like that" - just one drink, proper bar, go home early. I kept my ground and we went to sleep. Will probably have to talk about it again. | /r/askTRP | 14/05/16 08:31 PM
Need advice: GF going to a bar with female friend precedentI follow the first two points closely. I did not look at dread too closely yet, because everything was silky smooth so far, but I will. You are on point that this is a case of setting proper boundaries. The case is ambiguous and I am puzzled where/how to draw a line. | /r/askTRP | 14/05/16 07:20 PM
Need advice: GF going to a bar with female friend precedentI largely agree with you and am not trying to rationalize her out of it, but I do want to make a point that our relationship is solid. Anyway I see it as a problem. My problem with it is that this scenario is ambiguous - it is not a clear violation of boundaries, but is also not totally OK. | /r/askTRP | 14/05/16 07:10 PM
Need advice: GF going to a bar with female friend precedentTrue, don't see anything good coming out of it. Any ideas how to handle it? Openly state this is a bad idea? Set the rule that we don't go out drinking alone? This is the first time such question arises, so I want to handle it well so as not to set a bad precedent. | /r/askTRP | 14/05/16 03:35 AM
Need advice: GF going to a bar with female friend precedentSorry man, I don't understand what you are talking about. What red flags? Her friend is bored with her (friend's) relationship, but our relationship is great. I am writing that I have reservations about my GF going to a bar with a friend who may be open to encounters. And I don't want it to rub off on my GF and want to know how to handle it. | /r/askTRP | 14/05/16 03:28 AM
