That's not your choice to make, that's the hypothetical couple's choice. I do agree with you that giving the kid up for adoption is the more humane thing to do, however, going back to the bigger argument it's wrong to create legislation that bans abortion in all cases. A blanket law that states that abortion is illegal fails to consider individual circumstances that bring about a child, and the situation that caused that pregnancy and the living standards it will ensue as an infant and child. Abortion will always exist, just as anything else illegal. The only thing that banning it does is makes abortions more difficult and dangerous. When it's legal it can be regulated and safe. Unregulated abortions is what causes women to try to abort by using a coat hanger or jumping off a stairwell and onto their stomachs.
