My Prepuce and all of its functions. Are you familiar with the anatomy, structure and functions?

Dare to change the world. I chat about this topic in several forums as it touches so many.

Did I say that somewhere? I'm cut and produced two offspring who are adults now. I'm able to enjoy it but I have learned the ways that I am handicapped due to missing a significant part. The same is true for the gross majority of women who have been mutilated too, but we outlaw ALL types of mutilation when it comes to them.

I've spent two decades talking to people about this. There ARE cases where men get cut as adults and have a positive experience, but they usually get a minor cut and/or they addressed a pathology that they always had (typically phimosis) and couldn't resolve with less invasive options. The medical field should really stop using the euphemism "Circumcision" because it gets used for several types of surgeries. Terms like preputioplasty, posthectomy, prepuce amputation or partial penectomy are more…

The alternative is to allow a harmful practice to continue. If men don't learn that it's harmful, why would we ever stop?

If you did, you would be doing it on the 8th day. Islam seems much like Christianity and Judaism - several different subgroups with different ideas about what God/Allah wants. I guess you don't like religious freedom. Otherwise you would support the idea that everyone should be able to decide for themselves.

Lots of reasons. I asked this question myself as I learned about the issue. Men don't talk about how things work differently - that would be considered "gay" (homophobia). Teachers don't teach about the prepuce and the reasons they started cutting then off, even in sex Ed. I've spoken with several teachers about this and they are afraid to do so. I'm sure you can imagine all the reasons why. I've attended 2 school districts when they would inform parents about what will be taught in sex educatio…

The memory is literally written on our body. Some of us have reported recurring nightmares. This is like date rape stuff!

Certainly not good excuses for genital mutilation of people when they are babies.

Have you checked out forums for men doing it? There's one on Reddit (r/Circumcision). Health unlocked has a forum too: https://healthunlocked.com/menshealth-penishealth?utm_campaign=menshealth-penishealth&utm_medium=email&utm_source=notification&utm_term=new-daily+digest

There's a book called "Sex As Nature Intended It." You can couple that with the Sorrels study. Foreskin Revolution is a good website to learn things. There are other books too: Foreskin: A Closer Look The Joy of Uncircumcising

Where in the Kuran does it say that?
/r/MensRights09/12/25 03:20 AM

Why do you think that you would feel everything? As an adult you can get general anesthesia and strong pain meds for recovery.

Why can't it wait?
/r/MensRights08/12/25 04:00 AM

Ok, but you could cut off more of the outer skin and leave the inner mucosa and accomplish that or you could leave a lot of outer skin and remove more of the inner mucosa. Who should be able to decide about that when it comes to YOUR body?
/r/MensRights08/12/25 12:00 AM
2

Where does the "foreskin" begin and end? How much of the inner mucosa and frenulum should be removed? Do you measure when the P is erect or flaccid?

I'm a "circumcised" dad of 2 intact adult sons. I've been researching the topic for 2 decades.
/r/MensRights07/12/25 10:05 PM

It depends on the tool used and the person performing the procedure. I've come across some men where the frenulum was hand-carved completely away.
/r/MensRights07/12/25 07:30 PM

"can't really tell you the difference"
/r/MensRights07/12/25 04:00 PM
2

So, all of the intact men are just lying? The men who get it cut off out of peer pressure when they are otherwise healthy? I've been speaking to hundreds of people about this for 2 decades. "Just foreskin" says everything about what you know about it.
/r/MensRights07/12/25 03:59 PM

I guess I am too. Likely difference: I am a dad of 2 intact adult sons. I spent a lot of years since they were born wondering about how I am affected, which led me to research.
/r/MensRights07/12/25 07:55 AM
3

Hard to "notice any difference" when you don't have a frame of reference.. You would have to study the anatomy and functions in order to gain any frame of reference. I only did because I became a dad of 2 sons who are now adults and still intact.
/r/MensRights07/12/25 07:53 AM
2

You OK with body shaming?
/r/MensRights07/12/25 07:51 AM

How much work have you done to study the anatomy and functions?
/r/MensRights07/12/25 07:51 AM

Do you know why they did it?
/r/MensRights07/12/25 07:50 AM
2

And most of us avoid considering how things would be different. It's uncomfortable to consider. In my case I became a dad of 2 sons and since we decided to leave them intact I spent a lot of time doing just that. I hope you manage to go through the rest of your life being able to stay blissfully ignorant, sincerely. I often wish I still was.
/r/MensRights07/12/25 07:49 AM
3

"You can't tell the truth to people who don't want to hear the truth." - If it wasn't for intactivists my two adult sons would be mutilated. No matter how uncomfortable, I always want to hear the truth. I might argue/question, but I still want the truth. Thank you for sharing your story, even if you just do it to fill the time.

I'm curious what you think is a normal one.
/r/MensRights07/12/25 07:33 AM
2

Have you considered what it would be like to have your glans exposed 7x24? What it would be like to not have skin mobility during erections? What it would be like to have your scrotum drawn up onto your shaft during erections? What it would be like to not have any of your inner mucosa and frenulum (some get all that carved away)?
/r/MensRights07/12/25 07:32 AM
3

You can still compare your life with others who are intact. Please look at my answer and let me know if you think that I am honest.
/r/MensRights07/12/25 07:27 AM

Why can't you sue?

I had recurring nightmares until my late 20s and I am pretty sure they were connected to the procedure. I was cut at a time and place when anesthetics weren't used. I was likely cut with a Mogen Clamp leaving plenty of inner mucosa and frenulum, but had so much pulled up into the clamp that little shaft skin was left behind. I think that clothing and bedding irritated/excited those exposed areas often leading to more erections than I would have had otherwise and I learned to masturbate to orgasm…

Easy search: Injunctions: These are court orders that compel a defendant to take a specific action or refrain from taking a specific action. This is often called "prospective relief" and can be used to prevent future harm.

Let's put it another way: if you are paying the same share of the cost of a service, you expect the same share of that service, correct?

There is plenty of evidence showing that adverse childhood events (ACEs) affect us later in life. I think "Circumcision" is particularly egregious because it's not just about the potential trauma from the cutting and pain during recovery, but the fact that we are missing an important part of our anatomy throughout life. Gentle parenting advocates will bring this stuff up all day but get silent when "circumcision" is brought up. My wife is getting her degree in psychology and it has managed to ge…

Please share with us the details about why you chose to get surgery on your penis and exactly what and how much you had removed. I want details like how much inner mucosa and frenulum you kept. What is your coverage index? Do you have any curvatures or craning during erections? How smooth is your glans still (many of us cut as babies get the glans torn from the inner mucosa of the prepuce)? Bottom line, and I see that you agree, is that everyone should be able to draw their own dotted lines.

I was there. Intact Global didn't tell the whole story. Most of the hearing was about whether the members of the class has standing. It was found that only those who were actually cut have standing. The rest were removed from the class.

Why do you think people's minds go to the worst and rarest type? Maybe something to do with mainstream media?

There are many women who defend MGM. Mostly mothers who had their sons cut, but I have come across plenty of other women who do as well. Plenty of feminists too.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/25 12:35 AM

Ya, I don't like placing all the blame on a single group of people. But I do agree that we need to aim for equality across the board. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/25 02:58 PM

I didn't get that it's a feminist ploy from the post. We need women to point out how us mutilated men are like the Fox Who Lost His Tail, but worse because most of our buddies are also missing our tails and we have some Stockholm Syndrome tied to it because it was the people who were supposed to care about us the most who did it instead of some hunter intentionally aiming to harm us.

It's usually the mother that signs the consent form. I'm not saying that they do it out of any sort of malice towards males. I aim to defend everyone's genital autonomy.

If you ever come across an Islamic group/organization, please reach out to me. I'd love to add it to the Genital Autonomy Society website. I know Alon Sivroni has protested in Tel Aviv, and I know that has been extremely dangerous for him. I can only imagine how much scarier it can be in a Muslim culture.

The cut made today is far more severe than it was 1000s of years ago. "Lay bare the glans" is specific text from the period when rabbis decided to prevent restoration to hide the glans. There are multiple methods: 1. Mogen or barzel that leaves inner mucosa behind. 2. Gomco, Plastibell or other bell methods that remove most of the inner mucosa and frenulum. 3. Dorsal slit 4. Preputioplasty 5. Only remove acroposthion (no pulling up of the tissue, just remove whatever is hanging past the glans) 6…

You don't think that the rise of "circumcision" has anything to do with it? The practice/ritual of "circumcision" of infants was at its highest point in the USA during the 60s and 70s, which are men in their 50s and 60s today. The damage done by it has only gotten worse with the inventions of bell methods (e.g. Gomco and Plastibell) as they remove far more of the inner mucosa and frenulum, so more and more young men are feeling far less down there than we were meant to feel. Now, I get that horm…

Marotta believes in ways to make a living while doing this. He wrote a blog article as to why he didn't give it away and how that leads to more views. He wouldn't have gotten it on Netflix if he was just giving it away. If you want to understand me better, check out my blog at johnadkison.blogspot.com and my YouTube channel. I've created plenty of original content. You can also check me out on Facebook, Twitter and TikTok.

Have you watched the documentary? Brendon Marotta makes the full interviews available to those who purchase the documentary. However, there are plenty of other videos where you can listen to other interviews of him. Intactiwiki has an article on him. I get your caution, but I came from a similar stance/bias as I am a cut man myself. I really had a hard time accepting the idea that doctors and, supposedly moral people because they are religious leaders, were doing and promoting this. I'm not goin…

He is behind so much of the propaganda promoting the ritual. I hear his words echoed by way too many defenders of the ritual. These people take him for his word without actually looking into where it's coming from. Amongst intactivists, he is probably the single most hated person. His words "it's just touch, it's not that important" from the American Circumcision documentary just disgusts me. It's not for HIM to decide such a thing! His measure of what makes sex good is whether the person can ge…

I'm totally with you. I'm a cut dad of 2 intact teens. Before then I was blissfully ignorant. Other than the fact that my sons escaped it, I often wish I still was. After a dozen years of research, debate, cognitive dissonance and grief, I finally decided to speak out. Consider r/circumcisiongrief, the foreskin restoration subreddit and, if you have $$ and it helps, consider donating to organizations like Bloodstained Men, Your Whole Baby, Intaction, Cockfight and/or GALDEF.

Even amongst intactivists, there are those who are not fully aware of all the harms. I even decided to take a stand for genital autonomy before realizing/learning many things. I definitely don't downplay the severity (https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmR7whJ6sRSF47iYcyNvthsX0jFaNaayN and see my "Circumcision Harms docuseries interviews" too) but I avoid pressuring to learn everything all at once. I've watched some men go through extreme emotions as they learned.

I actually believe that it's not legal, just assumed to be. An assumption that was made over 100 years ago and has stuck. Read the book "Circumcision is a Fraud" for some, but not all, of the reasons why. I attempt to get men on board with genital autonomy without them having to be black-pilled about the ways that they are harmed. As a father of 2 boys, I really needed to confirm that it was best to leave them intact. In the process I have learned the many ways that I am harmed and how many men …

Not nearly at the same rate. In the USA, the government actually PAYS for it while those countries do not. $$ has a big impact.

It's the "Fox Who Lost Their Tail" but worse as they have Stockholm Syndrome exacerbating their cognitive dissonance.

I would never use a paper with the name "Brian Morris" on it to defend genital cutting. He stated "it's just touch, it's not that important" in the American Circumcision documentary. That tells you everything you need to know. As long as you don't give any value to the prepuce, ANY preventative benefit seems great. Have you seen the latest studies from Canada and Denmark about the HIV claims?
