Maybe she took it as a 'I'm not interested' and thus is not willing to waste her time on the chase. You need to a. Make up your mind about what you want your relationship to be. And then b. Ask her if she would be free after work for drinks sometime with the purpose of explaining yourself/changing her viewpoint of 'not interested' to 'interested'.

No problem. Also I'm quite long winded here, so you don't have to read this; it's just a continuation I need to get out there. It also occurred to me that what you want out of a relationship will also impact how you grow your mindset. What do you want to do? Make mutual friendly connections to support your view of everyone is a person? Play the field? Find your possibly one and only? These are very different mindsets and have different requirements and expectations for those involved. I would wo…

Congratulations on deciding to change, that is hard. My suggestion is start to looking at everyone as people. People with talents, flaws, hopes and nightmares. Not men, nor women - just human. That being said the world is unfair and most people put themselves before others using whatever gives them an advantage. It's instinctual, but does that make them horrible and incapable of prioritizing others? No. But it does hurt if they decide you are not worth it. (And in that case they aren't worth you…

They don't owe you any of their time or energy so remember that. Personally I would just walk up & politely say "I think you are beautiful/interesting etc. and I would like to get to know you. If you would like to meet for coffee sometime, then please give me a call." Give a business card or something with your name and number. It doesn't or shouldn't put her back up because your intent is clear and if she's interested enough to give you a call back then you already know she's interested. Key po…

In a serious monogamous relationship, but we only see each other 1-2 times a week due to scheduling. It leaves us both free to pursue hobbies, or catch up with work or sleep. Not to say that it isn't regrettable at times, but we both have active goals that we support each other in by respecting the other's schedule.

Start caring when you want to know their opinions or reactions to things (doesn't have to always be serious - a funny video works). Or when you start to be more considerate to them when you are making plans. Honestly though it seems like you don't want to know them because you don't spend time getting to know them. Emotionally caring about anything happens after you've invested some time. I would work on going on a couple of dates with one person first.

Then there's the positive side of it. Said I wanted a relationship or to be nothing more than friends. Almost two years now since then and we're starting to think about moving in together.

Also, I think relationships should be a complement to you, not a filling of a hole. They should like you for you- the activities they like to do with you and respect the ones you need to do alone. In other words, they shouldn't be your main focus anyways. Hell that's my opinion though.

I really don't think it should get to that point. I'm paraphrasing here, but the original OP said that you should have boundaries that you don't cross or tolerate. It shouldn't get to the point of overwhelming emotion for you or her where a 'fuck off' is appropriate. I'm assuming here that before the guy was bent to her will, she liked him for who he was. If someone's trying to change you in a relationship (and I'm not talking about healthy habits), then they're not the one for you. Say somethin…

That sounds like an abusive relationship...that's not cool.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
