I haven't made New Years Resolutions in quite a few years because I tend to get very hard on myself if I don't meet my lofty expectations. Instead I write on a slip of paper things I would like to focus on, a general theme. Health, happiness, balancing life and work, and so on. A group of my friends and I last New Years Eve wrote all ours down and shared them with one another. I kept them all and last week all the same friends were over for dinner and I gave them back their slips of paper and we…

It's small, but has always been an indicator (for me personally) of the cleanliness of one's home...bathroom floorboards! Most people overlook this, but when it's not cleaned often (or ever!) it gets really matted and greasy looking because of all the steam and dust. Because I notice this in other people's homes, I'm constantly cleaning ours, haha! Also, I notice dust at shops and boutiques.

I really like your list! I've started more intentional reading and I write notes afterwards. Also joined a French language group so I could practice the French I'm learning through podcasts and Duolingo, and I started Barre classes with a friend!

Just call and ask. I sent our wedding invitations really late and I had a couple that folks said they never received.

Perhaps suggest a play date with all of you and maybe even have her husband come too? I find the dynamic a little odd, they see each other at work all day and need to hang out after work too so the kids can play together? I would be uncomfortable with it if it was happening regularly and if there was a lack of effort for me to be included in post work hang outs.

I just saw a couple at the grocery store and both of them were wearing baggy basketball shorts and sweatshirts. I'm all for comfort, but I thought my black 3/4 sleeve top and a-line skirt and loafers was pretty comfortable and nearly as effortless to put on as gym shorts and a sweatshirt. :) I look to a lot of older photos too for inspiration!

Hungarian Goulash is so good! I briefly lived in Budapest and I ate this at least twice a week. Especially eaten with a thick slice of bread and butter! Bread is great for soaking up the soup too.

Oh my goodness so glad this is a topic of conversation! I "dressed up" everyday when I was in college and I would get weird looks about it. My daily feminine style is pretty basic and classic. An a-line skirt!, a pretty top or cardigan, and low heeled shoes. Most of the colors I wear are really neutral (lots of cream, beige, navy, and muted shades of pink/yellow/green). I love wearing feminine clothes!

I have a similar body shape! I wear a lot of skirts for Autumn and Winter and wear thin cardigans as tops (tucked into skirt) like this forest green cardigan top!
