A lot of guys posted this same advice on this sub. Still holds true, still good advice. tl:dr because you need it: don't be sad and desperate

Man, I see my past self in your posts, and my past self wasn't exactly the happiest person. But ok, let's backtrack a little. So, how does one become "good-looking" exactly ? Thinking people are just born with good looks is both defeatist mindset and false. Makes you subconsciously think "What even is the point ? I was born ugly.". In reality, you can improve most of your appearance save for your height and hair loss, which are factors but not deal-breakers, unless you're chasing some shallow va…

Yeah, same here. I got unmatched a bunch of times after matching. It was probably because they matched on accident or I didn't respond right away. God knows. To be honest, just ditch Tinder. Unless you're an 8 or above it's just a waste of time.

Ok, maybe I misinterpreted your post, but from what I'm reading, you had the occasion to make her at least semi-interested, but you blew it. So now you keep doubling down and insisting on getting her to respond (hypothetical you here) You can only "create attraction" the first time you talk to her. If she isn't responding, dip out. You'll never convince her to respond.

So what you're saying is "Be needy / harass her until she notices you". You can try as much as you like, but you're just digging yourself a bigger hole, man. If she's interested in you, she will respond. You can't just create more attraction

As a Romanian guy, I can 100% guarantee that it's fine. Young Eastern Europeans are usually welcoming and can't wait to have a chat with foreigners. Hell, I see Romanians chatting with foreigners all the time in my city. Just don't approach grandpas in the market, because they might throw a leek at you while shouting "Go back to your country of thieves, you capitalist !", but I doubt you want to approach old people.

Yeah, I already do that. I was asking for recommendations simply because I'm interested in different perspectives on this topic and want an interesting podcast to listen to.

I'm not claiming it is, I just want to listen to something that gets me in the mindset of approaching that I can use as leverage. It can be anything, really, cold approaching is just a topic suggestion.

The ones you're attracted to, obviously. However, also keep in mind that your first impression might be wrong. For all you know, the next girl that walks next to you might resonate with you a lot more than a lot of women you find hot. And there's also the thing that we start to see people we hang around with as more attractive as we become closer friends. So I'd say keep an open mind and aim to make more friends as a bonus. That will also make you seem more approachable and genuine to everyone.

In my experience...yes and no. i both had some girlfriends and also hit rock bottom in terms of dating when I wasn't conscious about my situation. I think what matters more, focused or not, is being the best version of yourself 24/7 and having good communication skills. Then again, I have friends who don't care at all and they all say "You'll meet her eventually, you don't need to try.". They are proud of not having any experience at age 23.

I feel like this is great solid advice..for the guys who are a bit above average looking. But why should a woman think of you specifically when there are hundreds of yous lined up in her contacts ? This "thrill of the chase" thing works in the detriment of below average looking guys. So first, know thy standards.

I guess that's the only way for now. I never liked audiobooks because I was raised with the mentality of reading physical books, but it's still better than nothing. I just hope people won't see me as "fake". Thanks for the suggestion.

My issue is that I am not as avid a reader as I would like to be (work and language learning take up a good chunk of my time). I'd love to get back into reading, but most things I've read are either very well-known or very underground because of the language barrier. I also love watching cult classics and listening to various types of music. So I guess I am sort of a jack of all trades. What should i do about that ? Besides read more, which I cannot find the time to do.

f you randomly were at the mall and saw a pretty lady and wanted to pursue, THAT is normal behavior Yes, good sa far when you set out to watch and pick certain women to speak to. It’s wrong. W-wait...how is it any different from Tinder? You do realise people swipe left and right all the time. But doing that in real life is bad how ? Now, yes, OP didn't approach her in the most tactful way. He shouldn't have clung so tightly or asked to go shopping with her. But this is a social anxiety issue, no…
