It's not ok to 'demand' that they be open about it. It's just more efficient rather than every single person in the world asking whether every other person is part of a small minority, or by playing social games to figure it out. Indeed. What I do admire about the States, though, is that the federal isn't all-powerful. In most places, if the government does something you don't like, you're stuck with it. Down there, it shares power (edit: typed "showers" by mistake, oh wow) with the States so you have a little bit of leeway, like going across the border to drink, for an abortion, for lower taxes, or what have you.

Oh, I know. At least in Australia, there's exceptions for after 20 weeks if the mother is in danger. I'm just saying SOMETHING should be in place to stop people from doing 9th month abortions. I do think the government has too much control. But when it comes to reproduction the real problems aren't that 20 weeks isn't long enough to decide, but that men rarely if ever have a say in it, and they're often held liable for children they don't want.
