Lol fair enough it was quite long. I addressed the last paragraph you just put here about misusing stats. I guess not only using but misrepresenting or misinterpreting what they actually mean as well. But yes, I think we’re both on the same page about it

I mean, I figured it was pretty obvious I thought what OP’s friend said wasn’t right - only that maybe there’s a way for them to move the conversation / debate forward with one another OP asked for help with the argument, and it seems on both ends they likely feel they’re each talking to a brick wall. Trying to switch up how they see each other’s sides / perspectives can help open up more of the conversation or debate, even if in the end it happens to further polarize both parties. I’m not reall…

I mean, if the majority of your exposure to feminists has been these situations, then, yeah. But please also remember those who ride the extremes usually have the loudest voices. People will show their colours if you let them. So, let them show you. You can ask clarifying questions - maybe some people are saying their side with the wrong wording, but also maybe not lol. I get what you are saying and I agree, using statistics with respect to a group of people can get… complicated. Very easily. I understand where you are coming from. However I don’t necessarily think using statistics = abusing statistics. I think knowledge and intent are the deciding factors on whether or not a statistic is being abused. Hey, thanks for the seeing eye to eye on some of the particular things I said. I’m sure there are (hopefully) more people that don’t think as black and white as OP’s friend than do.
