she is only entitled to half of the gains made during your marriage if she got more than that then pursue legal action against her.

I'm sure she's not having an affair just overweight and unhappy with herself so she's taking it out on me.

How much did it cost you to file for the divorce and stop the claim?

We probably don't even have 50k in assets including a paid off house.

She had a very troubled childhood to the point where she was adopted out and raised by older parents as the youngest of ten troubled adopted kids and then the other kids picked on her to the point where I can't even touch her bra strap without her going nuts over it. Or even touching her feet. There's a fight of one kind or another almost every day.

Yep it's effing annoying. I spend plenty of time in the house and doing stuff with her not sure what her problem is. Fortunately we don't have kids.

I feel like it's the same way here. It's fucking annoying and draining. Then she gets in a good mood and essentially denies it all.

You have a point. I have a company that is insolvent that owns my shop. I am the sole owner of the company and the company is the sole owner of the company that owns my shop. So yeah its a bit of a mess. But would be in my favor to file.

Yeah that's what I thought however I've essentially been told that if I initiate the process I'll likely get what I want. We have relatively speaking minimal assets.

Do you feel like the first person to file gets to keep assets?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
