Interesting post. I would say that you are probably right. My last 5 encounters have been a mix. Mostly new approaches, one or two through the social circle however. I make it a point to always be on my game , no matter where I am. While it's obviously easier to go for a warm approach within a social circle I think we sharpen our game more by working cold approaches.

I hate to tell you but I get the impression most of us aren't really aren't that active in long term relationships. I like this. I've noticed while talking to people I usually get them to reveal a lot more information to me than I do them. I'm going to use this on my next large mixed set. This past weekend I did kind of the opposite. I opened a large set " My name is XXX. Don't worry I'll get every single one of you to tell me your names in a few minutes". I did indeed get all the names. I figured it's a bit more alpha / aggressive. But it played out well.

I'm going to read this , I've noticed too that people seem to be more receptive / warming to me . Coworkers both male and female complimenting me , being in confident in me. Describing me as fun and people just generally trying to communicate and be interactive with me. It helps add to the confidence thing when people are pouring themselves into you. That's a pretty interesting point. Right now I'm getting to the point where in two years I'll be in a new career field and path and have a good majority of my time free and still be able to make good money. I'll essentially be my own boss and be able to travel and make really good money. I'll also be working a field that drive women wild and they love.
