You’re gonna be fine! Have you had “let’s take it slow” kinda hookup experiences yet? Ones where your own pants stay on? You only mentioned books. With some experience, you’ll probably come up with a kind of routine that works for you for how to handle your situation— or find it’s not as big a deal as you think. People have all kinds of situations and all kinds of routines for addressing them.

This seems like kind of a nasty and limited way to think about girls, even for this subreddit. How old are you, at this point, can I ask?

Therapy is cool when it's cool and worth looking into. It sounds a lot like you're dealing with straight up depression, which is separate from your relationship status.

OK, fair enough. Obviously, interesting conversation's better than dull, and playful conversation is better than non-playful. Sure. If you're keeping it really light, and you're getting good responses, then OK. I will warn you, "I do X for a living." "Oh, that sounds terrible, how do you stand that?" is I thing I get randomly now and then from guys who are trying to keep my attention, and they are trying to be flirtatious, but as I suspect when they say that, they always do turn out to know emba…

(This is more dickish than what's described above, OP.)

How about that one? Does that work? Because self amusement is all fine, but let's recognize, it's self amusement by being a dick to someone about something about them that might actually be kind of cruel because it might be something they're actually quite sensitive about. As long as we're all cool with that.

Dunno. Doesn't matter, sounds like a cool scene. What would you call it if you hit on a cute girl at a bar, tangoed with her, kissed her on the dance floor, and then bounced with your friends? A pretty awesome night, probably.

Fwiw I'm female and I've always found it really transparent when a guy is being this big of a dick. (And guys do this sometimes even when you're a grown-ass adult in a professional setting. THis is like, a thing women talk about.) If I tell a guy a hobby I am interested in or a study I'm pursuing and he puts me down in an obvious, effortful way like this, I assume the following. 1) He really desperately wants to keep a conversation with me going, but 2) he is not knowledgeable or creative enough…

Agreed. The footage you're seeing is the ones that went well. They're also encountering people who weren't cool with it, but just not posting that.

Don't forget to check the law where you live. US by state, for example: http://www.detectiveservices.com/2012/02/27/state-by-state-recording-laws/ If you came up to me and I spotted your mic, I wouldn't just be weirded out in a social, ew, way, I'd be weirded out in a, dude what the fuck are you doing angry way.

You have an opportunity here! You don't need to demonstrate that you're some nice guy who's going to "stick around." Just show some respect and build rapport by observing her boundaries, while still playing with her within those boundaries. And be honest in showing that you're turned on and holding back in respect of her boundaries but oh man are you turned on because she's hot. It's important that you're able to enjoy the interaction. This will drive the tension up. Which in turn, makes the sex…

Word! You do you. Find fun clubs, play some music, take up a hobby. Good luck with everything man. Therapy is great.

Yeah...u/BigGreekMike, I hope it's cool with you if I start giving this link out like goddamn halloween candy, everywhere... I think this is probably the best advice that like every single person on this sub could get.

Oh man, this guy here had really good advice just now that's exactly right for you: https://www.reddit.com/r/seduction/comments/3fble5/a_simple_piece_of_approach_advice/ "I'm an introvert. I want to get better at talking with people. In which order should I read the following stack of books?" See the irony here? :) You could read and read for years. It's comfortable, but it's procrastination. Talking will be the hard part, at first--but only at first. Listening to the guy above is a really good …
