I see where you are coming from but I fail to see how this particularly social issue can be improved upon or avoided. How would it even be possible? Perhaps to normalise affection outside of sexual relationships? I know as a sex worker that a lot of the older men that I see really do just want a hug and someone to talk to, could they get that from their male friends or family members? probably. But society has conditioned us to see most kinds of intimacy as sexual in nature. Maybe that should be…

If you marry someone for their looks, that's all you're going to get in my opinion. Unfortunately some people are just inherently undesirable as partners whether it be looks or personality. Saying that these people deserve a non transactional display of affection is all well and good but we have to live in the world as it is, not as we think it should be. You cannot force someone to want to be affectionate with another person, not even if you had a gun 🤷

Hungry people deserve to eat as well. It is still a transaction.

Prostitution is legal in Australia and we don't seem to have these issues, in face the divorce rate is lower here than in America.

Lmao I'm a stripper and this week I bought groceries from the iga, tomato saplings, flowers from the local florist, I visited my local museum and donated to them at the same time (I also do my own nails and don't wear a weave) I still support my local community regardless of where the money is coming from, seems like you are making a bit of an ass out of umption. The girls that waste their money on brand name bags are financially stupid and would be stupid with their money if they worked at a ga…

So state funded prostitution? 🤔 I'm not against the idea, but it is still a transaction of sorts.

I've heard this rhetoric before and it makes me wonder like am I victim because I go to the supermarket instead of growing my own food? I need to eat, I could realistically put my time and effort in to growing my own food but I don't want to put that time and effort in so I pay for it instead. How is a man paying for sex or only fans any different? If real effort was applied most men could cultivate sexual relationships with women.

While I appreciate that men need better outreach programs when it comes to domestic violence and homelessness, using half truths to further your cause will probably just work directly against you. https://www.cesphn.org.au/news/latest-updates/57-enews/2036-domestic-and-family-violence-the-leading-preventable-contributor-to-death-disability-and-illness-in-women-aged-15-44-years#:~:text=eNews-,Domestic%20and%20family%20violence%3A%20The%20leading%20preventable%20contributor%20to%20death,assistance…

Independent prostitutiion is legal in Australia and I don't really think it affects the dynamic to that extent. Most men don't want to have to pay for sex because then they have to admit to themselves that they are undesirable.

We have to live in the world as it is, not how we think it should be. Children need to eat and once they are here simply saying "oh well it's not anyone's responsibility but the mothers" doesn't put food in their mouth.

Well then we have fundamentally different views.

I don't want to live in a world that allows children to go hungry because "consequences". I don't really think you do either.

You seem so focused on what the women "should have to do" and you're not considering a huge factor which is the child's well being and ability to grow up to be a functioning member of society. I don't think it sucks that the government helps these women, they are trying to support children, literally the most vulnerable members of our society.

I literally have not "blamed men" for any shortcomings, I just want someone to give me a reasonable answer. I respect your desire for financial abortions, but children need to be financially supported and the government doesn't want to do it. So who pays? Should we raise taxes to cover the welfare that single mothers will require should financial abortions be legalised?
/r/MensRights26/06/22 02:14 AM

So your solution is to have an overwhelming majority of single mothers reliant on welfare? For the tax payers to cover it?
/r/MensRights26/06/22 01:53 AM

And an overwhelming majority of women in that situation would be eligible for and in need of welfare. So it's the tax payer.

I appreciate your contribution but you haven't answered my question.

No it's because the government does not want to have to pick up the tab for anyone's poor decisions male or female and the money to support the child has to come from somewhere. Norway also has compulsory military service, so I guess you can avoid child support but not the draft that y'all like to bring up almost constantly in these kinds of debates.

If we do legalise financial abortions then who picks up the tab for that? Where is the support going to come from? I see people advocating for financial abortions in the sub a lot but it never seems to go past "I get to wash my hands of the situation" Where does the support come from after this? Do you expect the tax payers to cover it? What does a financial abortion actually look like?
/r/MensRights26/06/22 12:55 AM

Well then who picks up the tab? Because the government won't be likely to want to pay out to eliminate the consequences of your poor decisions. I mean if ifs and buts where candy and nuts 🤷 but we've got to live in the world realistically and make arguments that can be applied to the real world. Otherwise it's just a thought experiment masquerading as a debate.

Nobody can force anyone to be a parent, not even the government can order you to be present. People are losing their minds that some women will be forced into pregnancy which is painful, dangerous, can alter your body forever and is possibly deadly. It's just not the same as men having to pay X amount a month if they don't want to be an active father.
/r/MensRights26/06/22 12:46 AM

"the draft is wrong" and "people should be allowed to have abortions" are two ideas that can exist at the same time. The government will never allow a "financial abortion" because they would have to pick up the tab.

"people bend over backwards to give women what they want" They literally just overturned a ruling protecting a right that many women see as a human right? Do you know what mutually exclusive means?

Or they could you know, ask a divorce lawyer about custody agreements and be proactive and ask for 50-50 which most men do not do.

The vast majority of the time they want to place the children with whomever has been their primary caregiver so there is as little disruption to their life as possible, the primary care giver is usually the mother.

Of all the people, corporations and churches not paying tax you want to go after the hoes? Damn. Why are you assuming they don't pay tax anyway? I have an only fans and I work with cash when the club is open and I still pay tax, if they're not they're going to fuck themselves over, you don't have to, seems kinda bitter to me.

It's not even about that, I know for strippers it's that a large portion of the industry has become over saturated and businesses are taking advantage of that fact by charging higher and higher house fees and working girls into the ground which until recent precedents girls have had to grin and bare (get it haha) because they are classed as private contractors rather than employees. So not only are you seen as disposable in the businesses eyes due to market over saturation you are not entitled t…

Thanks for responding. I have nothing to disagree with here, a two parent family model is almost always the best way to raise children, but people and relationships are complicated and I feel like your generalised ragging on single mothers is unfair. The systemic inequality in the courts is detrimental to both sexes in my opinion, as is societies bizzare infantilisation of women although clearly one party has much more to lose financially and with custody agreements. Marriage however is not at a…

Apologies when I said "you're" I was referencing mgtow and it's mantra as a whole not you as an individual. I think you're attributing malice where there is none I was trying to open up the discussion, I'm honestly curious.

You're literally actively advocating not marrying girls or settling down, but then single mothers are this and that. It seems like a strange stance to take, what family model would be your ideal?

Probably going to get down votes but I'm a stripper and I think this woman is absolute trash. The club I work at would fire a girl on the spot if they had even an inkling that this behaviour was going on, just this weekend I saw a girls locker cut open and it's contents thrown into trash bags because she left with a customer. No decent club would let this happen and no decent person would act in this way. On the subject of the morality of stripping in general, yes it's ethically dicey but the wa…
