| 1 | Feminism theory is based on logical fallacies - the biggest of which I've noticed is the formal fallacy(aka non sequitur).And since the idea that men were always raised to be oppressors, especially so in the past, when women were the ones responsible for raising them would mean that women are responsible for the patriarchy. It’s another inconsistency and feminists typically don’t want to accept any blame for the patriarchy, so they have to say that the roles that women played in society in the past were never as important as the roles the working men played. I loathe the Trumps, but I couldn’t care less that Melania, who clearly never planned to be a part of politics to that extent, had nude photos years and years ago as a model. It’s support women, support sex work, no slut-shaming until the woman doesn’t fit in with their ideology. | 2 | Double StandardsI do hear feminists talk about circumcision. But one you mentioned is funny to me- abortion rights. I kept hearing “abortion is a women’s health issue”. Then, I started hearing them say “abortion is a women and MENS issue! We cannot exclude men who may have abortions as well.” This surprised me at first since before it was always “only women can have an opinion.” Then I realized, they were only talking about trans men. But, the more I studied feminism throughout college and spent a lot of time in feminism groups as a former feminist, I realized it’s never about equality. There is always a view being perpetuated in some way that either sex is inferior. The idea that feminism can be used to hate men is pretty well known.
