To reframe: If she was a patient looking to open up and seek help from an outside point of view, would she pay for therapy from a MAGA evangelical? Prolly not

Correction: Not everyone is telling him to go to the FBI. Many are saying book a sit-down with a lawyer. $500 appointment is a cheap price for freedom. I'm guessing many of the people saying run to the police/fbi aren't familiar with the US legal system

Do this OP! This is a good call. Call a lawyer Monday, schedule a visit. Take it slow. All you other guys telling OP to rush to the police, CPS, FBI! Holy shit!! So much bad bro-vice from well meaning dudes: You are setting OP up for years of regret and expense Everyone: Try to never talk to the cops without representation.

Everyone advising this guy to go to the cops are potentially setting him up for jail time. OP: Find a lawyer and consult (it's usually free for the initial chat). Don't fuck up your future because of her

Breathe. Take a step back. Please talk to a local lawyer first. DO NOT contact the police or FBI without talking with someone who actually knows the law. Ignore all this bro-vice and talk to a professional.

Chill. Don't do this. Please don't talk to the cops without a lawyer present. Don't risk your freedom on the bad advice of redditors who have no experience with the law

I don't know why you're being downvoted. This guy should go to a lawyer yesterday.. OP: please don't ask 16-year-olds for legal advice. Police are a gamble (not worth risking your freedom because reditors are telling you it will be ok). Usually the initial consultation with a lawyer is free, find one please 🥺

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
