I don't have numbers in front of me but when I've worked there in small villages building safe drinking water, irrigation, and sewage. India does not have a lot of violent crime or mugging in areas such as trains. It is a society that frowns on that but they treat women as very inferior. I am all for mens rights but if you have never been to India, or know much about the culture, sexual harassment and abuse is VERY common.
