Express interest, and push a bit to meet up quickly. You've isolated and recognized the problem yourself. Until you're putting yourself out there and failing, there's little anyone can do to help you there. Bear in mind, there's no strategy by which Brad Pitt turns that situation into a date, much less relationship, with 100% success. Until you're ready to accept that most of your attempts will be met by failure, you'll keep watching good moments slide by.

Invite her over to your place for dinner before the lounge. Tell her you'll cook for her. Don't cook? Learn quick. Or substitute drinks. But dinner is less... obvious? Sounds like things went well, but logistics were not in your favor. That's cool, but it puts you in a dangerous situation... if the same thing happens again, she may start to lose interest. That said, sounds like the iron is pretty hot. Reciprocal kino, met up with you even though she was tired, both good signs. IMO though you nee…

This is great advice. I connect with women pretty well at this point, but I struggle with the online thing, especially getting responses and building attraction. Would love to hear more... What makes good pictures for this sort of thing? I post pictures of having fun with friends, scuba diving shots, my dog, etc Also go back and forth on how to transition to real life. I've played a lot with an almost immediate jump to texting, which ultimately works out better than extended long form dating sit…

While I also share this rationalization... that's probably all it is. ;)

Approval seeking is needy, and often goes hand in hand with complimenting by insecure men. But it doesn't have to. A compliment, freely given with no expectation or alternative motive is generous and strong and quite consistent with being an attractive man.

From a purely psych standpoint, people are very bad at prediction how they will react to a situation they are not actually in. I'm of mixed opinion on the question mark issue, but word to the wise "because I'm a female" doesn't trump "because I've tried both many times and this works better". That said, thanks for the input Ivianna. I've had both work, although it can depend on context a lot. Actually, I would contribute the "bang" alternative as well. That is: "Hey let's grab a drink tonight!" …

To be fair to the author, the entire point of the article is... so I called it rape, but in retrospect I'm not actually sure that I should. Sounds like she herself is coming around to the same perspective being put forth in this thread.

Two things at play here... 1) Was the use of force appropriately restrained given the likelihood of injuring another person based on differences in size? There's a difference between getting a bit heated and taking a swing at someone versus actually trying to harm them. This could be a factor here. 2) The fact that social norms would usually condemn a man in this situation more than a woman. This is true. However, reversing their flawed logic is also flawed logic. It's not a war here. We're goin…

And, I would say it's not unreasonable to think that you would. Men fight physically then make up all the time.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
