Court is ideally where you get your say. As someone who's been to court, it's not what you think. System is super duper broken.

I’ve been to psych jail, that place sucks. Never been to actual lock up, but I’ll tell you that they kept me for a week on a misdemeanor charge that got dismissed and I would’ve been out after a night. Hope she got psych not because she deserves it but because fuck her

Not true at all. Cops harass and beat the shit out of black people all the time it usually doesn’t make the news. How do you think when something does go down a cop has a dozen complaints registered but you’ve never heard of them before. Asshole

What about when you don’t choose to have sex and sex is had with you? What about when you’re not able to make decisions to your own best interest? What about when you’re a dumbass, make a poor choice, and regret it; should the child be subject to the punishment for that bad decision? The pro life argument is weak, and argues that eventual life supersedes existing life, and that’s backwards as hell. Edit: I see what you’re saying about terminology, but it’s not as if that’s unique to the pro choi…

I agree entirely. It's hard, it is. At the same time, we live in a society of a few hundred million people, laws should be enforced unilaterally. If she wants to discuss her situation with attorneys, or her target, that's on those parties. She should've been arrested.

For me, it was such a personal thing I had no interest in arguing anything, and was sure the case would be dismissed (as it was, with immediate expungement). Took me like 5 months to clean my record entirely, and was overall bullshit. The police seem to favor the loser of the fight, which is dumb IMO. This was in NJ, I imagine laws are different state to state.

If two people want to squabble I think they should be allowed to. I'm not a fan of having to worry about assault charges when both people want to throw down.

I don't agree with ending abortion, at all. And I imagine this woman was going through something, or has something wrong with her. That being said, they did the right thing by calling the police. You can't just punch people with different views if they don't agree to combat. Especially not a sucker punch. Also yeah, I did much less and got cuffed in front of my house, for something that happened in my own house. This is not PPD.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
