Actually, biologically speaking, yes. The hormones released during sex increases emotions bonds.

Have you tried to set some boundaries during the initial texting? You said you don’t get the implications during initial conversations, but this has not been my experiences at all, there are a lot of men who, through texting, try to jump the line and create a sense of intimacy by getting sexual through compliments and flirting. That’s usually a red flag (over sharing and flirting with basically a stranger). If that’s not what you experience, great, but if there is flirting, maybe there’s and opp…

Having super honest pictures is a really good tip. Yes, you will reduce the amount of responses, but the people who do respond will not feel lied to when you actually meet, and are probably taking other factors into consideration.

The women who act like this (and men, there are both) are also the ones who could probably be fired and the place wouldn’t even notice. I totally believe it’s an insecurity flaw in their personalities. The women who are competent and actual doers don’t have this flaw (they are too busy figuring out how to accomplish things and what team will do it). Interesting, and isn’t exclusive to women, being a do-er doesn’t necessarily help you climb the ladder. The problem is these incompetent people find…

Men can dislike you and still work with you. Women generally can’t do this. In my experience.

Did it exactly once while my husband was traveling. Hated the way it made me feel, never did it again.

Check out the paprika app. Completely worth the dollar. You can import from websites, edit them to make them your own, get grocery lists, auto change portions. It’s great. I’ll import a recipe, get a shopping list together from it, cook it and then if I want to change things to make it better, I update the entry.

Ah. Yes then that would be super frustrating. I’m the lower libido in my relationship with my husband. And here’s where I am. Maybe this will give you some perspective that might spur some ideas. Sex is just not on my mind. It’s not that I don’t want to have it, it’s just not something I’m seeking out a lot. And when it is posed, I’m like a huge ship where it takes me some time to steer the ship towards it. I think this has to do with stress. I’m thinking, ugh, I’ll need to stop what I’m doing (…

As someone in a high stress job, I can relate to feeling like ass at the end of the day - especially if it’s a people job, my personal space bubble is huge by the end of the day, and I don’t want to speak or be touched. It is sometimes a monumental task to have sex at the end of the day - which my husband wants sometimes. But you know what has worked for me? Morning sex. It can be hard during the work week, you need to be one of those people who has a long routine and not getting up last minute.…

Is he working out at all now? If his job is fast pace/stressful but not physical, and he went from high activity to no activity, that can also bomb a libido. It’s probably also complicated because when you are at an elite level and then leave, you can kind of have unrealistic expectations of what working out should be like, so you drop it all together because you can’t/don’t want to do what you used it be able to. This happened to me (F). The sad thing is, to get a lot of the stress relief benef…

You are reading WAY to much into what I wrote. I only even referenced religion because it was in the link that you provided. I was speaking merely from experience. The people (men and women) that had wondering eyes and thought it was normal and healthy were always the ones who eventually cheated. It is merely my observation. Of course not every person who looks will cheat, it more complicated than that.

I think there’s a difference between those that look and think it’s ok and indulge and those that look and know it is bad behavior. Compulsion aside, how one perceives that compulsion will ultimately be a predictor of future behavior. It even says so in your link regarding religious service attendance.

Every single person I have ever conversed with who has believed that “looking isn’t cheating” has eventually cheated. I’m not saying looking IS cheating, but if you are looking, then you are probably unsatisfied with something you already have. The study you cite sounds like common sense. And I think you are very correct about reducing opportunity. And that definitely applies to both sexes. If you find yourself wanting to hang out with opposite friend sexes without your SO, you are already in a …

In high school and college, the majority of boys I met were literally looking for no strings attached sex. Having a fear that you will be used is very rational in that situation. How you combat that fear is having standards about how much you should get to know a partner before sleeping with them. If you still have a fear, then you probably don’t know them well enough (or you do and you should bail).

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
