For nails, I use gel polish. You can get a UV or LED light on amazon for a good price. Get a good quality top and base coat (OPI, Gelish, CND). You can also use those brands for color, but if you’d like a more affordable option, I use a brand called Bling Gel that I buy on Wish. It stays about 2 weeks. Make sure to use gloves for dishes and cleaning!

I’ve been making my own laundry detergent for about 4 years. But I just read someone on this thread said borax is toxic? So... maybe I need to look into that! Uh oh! It has saved a lot of money and I really like it! I still use Downy to get the fresh laundry smell. This is the recipe I use: http://www.duggarfamilyblog.com/2011/03/duggar-recipe-liquid-laundry-soap.html?m=1

I’m a SAHW, so one of my favorite routines is putting my makeup on before I start my day even if I know I’m probably not leaving the house that day. Makes me feel more feminine and put together. I usually pre-make most of my breakfasts Monday (I like mini quiches and healthy breakfast bowls). And I meal plan like a boss! Haha! I try at least one new recipe a week to build my repertoire even if it’s just a side dish. 2019 I want to be more active! We are moving from apartment to a house next mont…

Thanks for this very insightful post! I always let my husband know how grateful I am for how hard he works. He does software for a company that owns lots of apartment complexes. I know he sometimes feels that his job isn’t making much of a difference in the world. Any ideas what I could say to make him feel that this job makes a difference and make him feel at least a little bit like a hero?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
