women should have as high standards as they can date The problem is most women (and some men too) don't abide by the "as they can date" part of it.

It’s hilarious to think that I have to try to “impress” some of these insanely boring and uninteresting women. bro cooked with this sentence.

White Being white in OLD gives the person a massive advantage, even if the height or other factors are lacking. Also a body count in the 30+ is definitely in "universal appeal" territory, I'd say.

But socializing is much more chaotic and "RNG" based, and has failure and uncertainty built into it not as a bug, but as a feature. This is so well put. Thank you.

This could apply to other contexts that do not involve a single mother. I will borrow some of your ideas and expand on them a bit with a personal experience I had while dating someone for 3 months in 2021. But he was the one she gave her best to. Her youth, her body, her freedom. "You didn't get to have me on my prime years, I gave my years from 18 to 21 to a man in his 30s (which is a huge red flag in of itself) and now that I've had my share of poor decisions, I choose you, and I can't even be…

Kelly Marie Tran as a below average is wild. She's attractive. Saoirse Ronan as average is also insane. She's super attractive.

Oh, I apologize, I wasn't clear enough in my original post. She was the ONLY one that was toxic. The rest were mature, well-adjusted, wonderful women, and even when it wouldn't work out, the breakups were healthy and mutual.

thinks life is a continuous adolescence that includes only run and games and no responsibilities doesn't stick to her words mama's girl very impulsive wants instant gratification can't listen can't imagine life in other people's shoes, throws tantrums when she's wrong and starts pointing fingers and making accusations I see you've met the ONLY (thanfully) toxic ex I've had. She was female tho.

Desperation and urgency also tends to set off a lot of red flags, as it often indicates something is wrong. Other times it's a sign of something more serious. Can confirm. Dated someone that after the 3rd date was already pushy for a label on our relationship (talking stage to boyfriend-girlfriend in only 3 dates is weird). Also, the fact that it took two months and a half to make it to the 3rd date because of how "busy" she was on the weekends was another red flag in of itself. Either way it's …

I find them to more demanding as they age. Their standards rise as they age. This. So much this. Your looks have depreciated and you come with a high body count and also emotional baggage. Don't expect better men to hit on you now than the ones who were hitting on you in your prime. That is why you see a lot of women who are permasingles in the mid 30s and up categories in dating apps.

Unpopular opinion, but Margot Robbie is mid and overrated.

I understand your perspective. But you are thinking of a permanent "solution" for what seems to be a temporary problem. How old are you?

for a good majority of people today wanting to genuinely love and grow with someone isn’t the driving force behind getting relationships. For most people it’s always a myriad of selfish self serving motivations. Unfathomably based.

This woman is absolutely unhinged. If I hadn't seen the name of the subreddit, I would have thought it's some copy-pasta meme stuff.

This woman is based and must be protected at all costs. Whoever you are, I hope you thrive, and I hope your plain-looking female friends learn humility from you and re-assess their standards and tastes.

She knows it “hurts” now but in 4-6 weeks she’ll sucker some other chump into her life by simply flinging her legs open. Men, however, have to absorb the burden of thousands of left swipes on dating apps and frequent venues for meeting new people only to experience a relentless wave of perpetual rejection for months or years. Unfathomably based.

That being said, so many men suffer such loneliness. Specially young men. Figuring out relationships and even casual interactions are tough. Men and women live in such different worlds that understanding each other even in a casual encounter like a party is really tough. This is strangely wholesome. The lady sought to understand OP and even went as far as acknowledging the issue of loneliness that plagues so many men (and even some women) in Western society. Kudos to you for being an empathetic …

There’s a large scale between needing someone because you hate yourself and wanting someone because you recognize it can enrich your life but would be okay alone. I think this is where the crux of the matter lies, truly. One thing is thinking: "well, I have a great career, a solid group of friends, a loving and supportive extended family, and I feel great about my looks! Surely having a partner would enhance this!" Another thing is thinking: "I have no friends or family to care for me. I hate my…

Unfathomably based. I asked a woman for a napkin this past weekend (there were people in my way, stopping me to get to that side of the table at the social event). She gave it to me and quickly scurried away. I literally ONLY wanted the napkin. Next time I am bringing napkins in my pocket to avoid misunderstandings.

To be fair if men actually did that and left women alone that would absolutely fix almost all problems we have with dating. The lack of attention would force women to readjust their standards and make them willing to date men on their level. Unfathomably based.

I don't know why everyone says that women should play cold and hard to get. That's some fucked up shit. It's playing games. I want to feel validated. I want to feel wanted. It's not a bad thing. It's a GOOD THING, for the love of christ. Based.

I kinda want to see eye to eye on some level with OP and ask a similar question: I don't believe in sex outside of marriage either but what if you end up marrying a woman with WAY LOWER libido and sex drive than you? How can one asses and vet that area of their personality?

Amazingly stated. Encouraging. Thank you for sharing. Your wife is part of the circle that you disciple, though so make sure to still devote time and attention to her. A Christian's first mission field is his family. But everything else is on point. Keep pursuing discipleship with those around you!

Not necessarily hitting on the guy per se, but just saying "hi, how are you?" Or just some baseline level of courtesy and friendly inquiry would go a long way ("that's a cool hat you've got, are you a Dodgers fan?" For instance).
