“If you can make a woman laugh, you can make her do anything.” ― Marilyn Monroe I think a lot of guys take themselves too seriously. Others try too hard to force humor. Just be yourself. Be honest, but be courageous. You'll be surprised at the results. Case in point--My last bar hookup happened on a night I was just out with friends not looking to hook up. I was just having fun and sat down next to her at the bar. Struck up a conversation, and she practically dragged me back to my place and into…

This. Some of my best friends are girls that I was interested in and pursued at first. I find it takes me about a week to actually go from being interesting in a girl, asking her out, and being rejected to honestly feeling just friendship for her. As long as I wasn't harboring oneitis, that is. This is why as soon as I am attracted to a girl I ask her out. Don't be so polarized view of people, and don't let rejection affect you so deeply. That reaction just creates unhealthy bitterness which fes…

Huh. I didn't know it existed either. Here's an interesting one comparing Alpha and Beta males.

Read Models by Mark Manson. It's revolutionary. I think the community is going this way. Watch this and some of his other videos. Edit: There was actually a post about it yesterday.

For those wondering, this 95 minute video will give you a good idea what Mark Manson is all about. This is really the way I see most of the community going in the next few years. It's all about honesty and vulnerability. Also check out this TEDTalk by Brene Brown. Mark mentions her in his book. This is powerful, life changing shit.

Dude, women are people--not assets. This is a person you like. Definitely stay friends with her. Read Models by Mark Manson and watch this crappy quality video of one of his talks. Best beginner advice there is.

I don't know, but I'm assuming that this amount of phenol is negligible and would be diluted quickly. I'd think that we should be more worried about major sources of pollutants (such as factory and farm runoff) than a few phenol-covered golf balls.

I was thinking the same thing. Apparently they have a fairly low toxicity. As long as you're careful everything should be alright. This sounds like a fun idea!

I agree with this. I laughed at the 6:30 bit.

I just texted this to a girl who didn't reply to a text yesterday: "Hey! Didn't hear from you. If you're interested in getting together, let me know. If not, no worries." Got a reply 2 minutes later to set something up.

I agree with this. I saw that "I made other plans, sorry" bit was posted a couple weeks ago and it looked great to me initially. I used it the next day, and I just felt like shit afterwards. I don't like games. Three strikes also seems like too many to me. She doesn't reply to one, sure--she's busy. She doesn't reply to two--she's not interested. Also, when a girl flakes I find it easy to move on. What hurts more is when they reply that they aren't interested, but I actually prefer this. It is a…

Yeah, I don't really go sarging to classes. I actually go for the yoga. Show up early, stay late, hang out, and have fun. Make friends and get massive social proof. They will start coming to you. :)

Same with yoga. I love yoga. It keeps you strong, flexible, relaxed, and centered. There is about a 30:1 female to male ratio, and most of those girls are in incredible shape.

I'd go with something more like: "Hey pretty doggy! Who is this you're dragging around?" said while squatting down, petting, and talking to the dog, not her. Then maybe something like, "Reeeally?" and then stand up and engage her in conversation. Don't tell her what the dog said.

This may be the completely wrong subreddit to post something like this, but here is a TED Talk on vulnerability that changed my life. Edit: Changed link to youtube desktop site. Silly phone.
