At the moment, sure. But it’s possible we’ll see true equal treatment of the sexes soon enough (like 1 or 2 hundred years) if the movement of abolishing gender has its way. Can people be socialized into ignoring their biological differences, both in their treatment of others and their own behavior? Can we remove the femininity of women and masculinity of men without physically removing the hormonal production? Not sure, but I’d love to find out.

I have no problem with anyone doing this, if all parties are consenting I couldn’t care less. I just find it sorta weird that we’re like “congratulations, you now get to be seen publicly with a prime mate”. I mean it’s a vestige of men fighting over women, which is what most of the fights were about in the past ten thousand years, it makes sense. Just thought we’d be able to put ourselves above that by now, I guess.
