I guess you misunderstood my point, I was arguing that future circumstances cannot be anticipated by the law hence child support doesn't make any concessions regarding this. Let me make this clear, I am not asking for control over a woman's body rather for control for a man over his fatherhood just as a woman has over her motherhood. Well, if the woman is unable to provide for the child by herself, the rational and responsible thing for her to do is to not have the child rather than depend on the man who himself may not be in a position to provide for. 3	Men's Reproductive Rights: Why we need a different approach! I absolutely agree with you on the point that a woman should have complete right over her body. If you read my post carefully, i haven't mentioned forced abortion or anything of the sort be imposed on the woman. All I said was if a woman chooses to have the child in spite the consent of the father, she and she alone should support the child. I do agree that the current climate is not conducive but any legislation worth it's salt has been passed in face of tremendous opposition and hostile environment like banning of slavery, women's voting rights etc. Perhaps I should have been a bit more specific by saying that I'm talking about out of wedlock pregnancies and talking about deadbeats, the current laws give a recourse for deadbeat mothers but not fathers.
