Hey, I hope this isn't rude but I'm wondering what his HV traits are, and how did you accept this extremely LV-sounding situation around travelling? It is not hard to plan a holiday - you mention that YOU want him to see the world, but does HE want to? I can guarantee that if he did want to and you weren't around he would figure it out.

This is the kind of energy I'm trying to have!

I don't like it either, but you're right in thinking most women would consider it normal. I find myself justifying it as well, even though I don't follow hot influencer men on Instagram and feel no need to. Do you follow any men on Instagram purely for aesthetic reasons? I feel that you need to assess the kind of content the people he is following are putting out. There are some very attractive and fit YouTubers who could be considered 'hot' but all of their content is geared towards fitness and…

I'm not autistic, just very shy, so perhaps my advice isn't relevant but I think I do something similar to 'masking' when I'm in a work setting. I can't do it when meeting people in a social setting and I think that is a good thing, because I know my friends are genuinely interested in me despite my sometimes dry and snarky sense of humour, or how blunt I can be. I think you should definitely be yourself, exactly as you are. Otherwise you will never meet someone you can co-habitate with peaceful…

This is physical abuse as well - he is raping her. I'm so disgusted by these age gap 'relationships' where the man has clearly groomed a child.

I appreciate how blunt the majority of users are. I don't engage much with posts because I'm not actively dating and haven't been for a long time, so often I don't have much to contribute - but I read everything and I like seeing women being pulled up on their bad behaviour. I'm focusing on levelling up right now and I think accountability is essential in order for personal growth to occur. Thank you to the mods for your hard work in keeping this sub both safe and beneficial for women.

While I agree that the roommate sounds like he has his shit together, I get so tired of people acting like everyone should be hustling all the time. Hobbies don't have to be a side hustle, enjoying yourself is not a waste of time and a firefighter's day/night is not equivalent to a financial analyst's day/night. This guy likely gets days off during the week where he can do 'life admin' type errands, firefighters do get quite a bit of downtime depending on season PLUS he's getting cash in hand wo…

I feel like context is important here, as other people have mentioned - if it is your bestie's party then you're probably going to help. I also feel that if the party was winding down and the host started cleaning up, I would probably offer a hand. I wouldn't just get up and start cleaning if no one else was though.

Good point about their thoughts on modesty, it can reveal a lot about them.

I really like this, thanks for sharing! I do disagree about the sports thing, it can be just a genuine interest. My uncle is a HVM (the only one in my life, sadly enough) and he follows ice hockey. Maybe it's offset by him being Canadian, since they're super nice and all? lol I don't know. Everything else links back into their values and their emotional maturity which I think are pretty key areas. If you disagree on basic human rights the relationship isn't going anywhere.

I don't know, I can't even imagine showing my face in public.. there are pictures of her and her new husband burning her marriage certificate (for her marriage to Dean) and some other stuff. Really messed up.

She has tattoos like this all over her body. Click here to see. They are no longer together, she is with some guy called Andy now. When I first saw this I thought it was fake but there are too many pics of her out there.. I just can't imagine agreeing to this. Drugs must have been involved, surely?

From the article: The thread’s author told us that the idea for the thread came as she was setting up her things on her nightstand after she had just moved in. “I walked over and realized what my boyfriend’s side of the bed looked like,” hannystyles69 said. “I think it’s funny how I like to have so many unnecessary items to make me feel happy and he just needed those three simple things,” she added. Why do women diminish themselves in this way? There is nothing wrong with her side of the bed, it…

Exactly, her posting this shows that she is unhappy, not just with this but likely all the other areas where he is failing to meet basic standards.

The words 'he scares me sometimes' should never come out of your mouth regarding a partner. I hate these shirts, they have them for daughters (about their dads) as well and I just think they are super gross. People are not property.

Love it! Honestly I could see myself living with friends in my later years, I think that would be awesome

I completely agree with this, the only reason those things are suggested is because they increase exposure to men. There's no guarantee that those men will be HV though. I am an introvert and I have accepted that by not going out and forcing myself to be social, I am exposed to a smaller group of potential partners and an even smaller group of HVM. I think it does help that I don't want children, so I don't have the pressure of wanting to start a family. Ultimately I want to have an awesome life…

I think this is where I am at right now. To be fair, I haven't dated in 8-9 years but I would have if the opportunity came up. Now, I am prepared to reject advances until I have my life sorted out - I'm in therapy, focusing on levelling up and taking care of myself first. So happy to be part of a community full of like-minded women.

Aussie here, can confirm that f*ggot is not tossed around casually here, at least not by the people I know. The other though.. depends on the person. I have an almost physical (negative) reaction when I hear it because my mother hated that word and really impressed upon me and my siblings that it shouldn't be used. Gamers get such a bad rap on this sub, and when I hear stories like this I understand why. I play games myself (casually, not obsessively) and have a group of male gamer friends who a…

Just wanted to say that you are 100% correct about your children being better off. Better for them to see examples of a strong single mother than a miserable and dysfunctional marriage.

Maybe you should reverse it and instead have Meme Madness Monday, one day per week where everyone is allowed to post memes, images, videos, etc? The rest of the week could be for text posts only. Just an idea, I love reading on this sub and although the images are great they are more 'surface-level' engagement. I come here for the substance.

I can't even imagine how inconvenient that would be.. how is that easier than just doing your own washing?

100%. Men have figured out (and basically been taught, I suppose) that acting dumb will excuse them from any wrongdoing. I argue with my aunty about male behaviour all the time because she tries to excuse things by saying they don't understand, or (my personal favourite) "it's just how men are". Like sorry your son doesn't bother to remember your birthday, but it has nothing to do with his genitals.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
