Yea man there was no complete genocide of native people haha, at that time in the 16th century a mass invasion from Spain wouldn't be strong enough to wipe them out. But a lot of blending of cultures did though. Spaniards stayed and spread Christianity that's why every central and South American country speaks Spanish and preach Catholicism.
