1	Spartan Living Will make Your Life Easier I live in the S.F. Bay Area, which does make everything pretty expensive. So yes, you can always go cheaper, but at some point you have to get some kind of pleasure from food. Chicken is cheaper than beef, but chicken gets old quickly without a lot of herbs or butter or something to make it palatable. I can eat $6/pound beef just plain, every day, but inexpensive chicken doesn't fill me with much gusto. That combo will fill you up and keep you alive until payday, but oh man, the BLOAT! Living that way too many times taught me how to manage my money better. Get it all cooked and prepped and packed in a small cooler for lunch and dinner. The best I could do came out to $12 a day food budget.
