So you'll always end up with a 50/50(ish) share of actual genes. However the gene expression may not be close to 50/50, meaning you can actually express traits from one parent more than the other. It depends on context of situation, how well you know the person, how many times they do it, how they say it, how they acted before and after, etc. Obviously, if it's your close friends, most of the time it's probably banter.
