This is an over simplification but it's the male to female genital mutilation and there's a serious double standard over that being considered a heinous act and circumsion just being done to nearly every boy that's born. Like I said this is an oversimplification

Women like her would benefit so much from this movie. The director, Cassie Jaye, started the film from a similar perspective as your friend (being generally dismissive of men's rights) and by the end sees that Men have their own problems that women don't have and actually abandons being a feminist herself

It's pointing out the hypocrisy of women complaining about other people making decisions on their bodies while also being the ones to decide on their sons bodies EDIT Overall point: nobody should be making decisions about some else's body
