You can't rule out the role that concentration of wealth has in this game. We all fairly well agree that wealth and SMV go hand in hand. The fluidity of information exchange that we witness now is only part of the picture.

Wholesale slaughter of the older generations by the younger ones would reduce competition in both sexual and work marketplaces. We need only retain a small number of analytically-minded Linux wizards to keep the information superhighways uncongested. Down with the establishment!

Some hard work will be good for me. I'll keep the back of the bar stocked like it's what I was made to do. Luckily it's only two nights commitment per week. No way I would do it full time without a generous cut. You couldn't pay me enough to repair lung damage, hearing loss... I did pick up a pair of Etymotic earplugs as a preventative measure.

Yes, agreed wholeheartedly. The atmosphere will gradually desensitize me to lithe, scantily clad womenz. I think that's a net positive. I hope to build good relations with male coworkers in the event that interesting opportunities to work together may arise.

Fortunately my intention is to work only two nights a week. I will make liberal use of benefits with knowledge that I did contribute at least a few dollars worth of taxes during my previous internships, where I wasn't being paid slave wages.

There are other people who are subject matter experts in their respective fields. I don't want to be the smartest guy in the room all the time. Please don't think I'm rejecting you on the grounds that you offer bad advice. I think it's all very good, but I will not allow ideas to live in my head forever. Like I said... Fuck or walk. I've given some thought to this as well. I had an associate at my car dealership who had some from a background in finance and knew others in the game. He mentioned the potential for residual income that comes from selling an insurance policy. I'm more interested in how to build an insurance company. They are money presses. The same goes for much of financial services. I would love to build the product. Sales is fun. It can be very rewarding. The greatest reward that I got out of my short sales …

Yeah, it's really going off of their needs, but they want me there from 6PM to closing time, and they're asking two days back to back. So I'll be working two days and off for five! Granted it's not going to make me rich, but there's always the side benefit of being around moderately attractive half-naked women. And if it comes to ficky fick, I'll wrap my dick.

Repeated attempts to enter the industry have affirmed my view that the world is a cruel and uncaring place. If you asked anyone who's sat down and gotten to know me over the years, they'll tell you that I'm the smart guy. Not because I moved my mouth a lot, but because I always had the answer, or was fixing someone else's work (I don't always start from scratch, but when I do, I finish on the right side of the bell curve) This contributed in part to... Your advice is on point for someone wishing to live the life of a petroleum engineer. I have experienced enough of it through my father. You sound well-versed in this field. At the very least, I imagine you follow the sector closely. Perhaps you're directly involved in oil and gas, in which case more power to you! It's a terrific industry - I wouldn't have tried rushing through college in 7 semesters if I didn't believe in it. I do appreciate your suggestions, as they are multitudes better than …

Right on my friend! I have personally gone through periods of drinking too much, but I am confident that I have cleared this hurdle. Occupational stress is a terrible thing when mismanaged. I intend to limit my working hours to the bare minimum required. My interest in the part time work arrangement revolves around the scarcity of time... As for the women in the gentleman's club: they get topless during their dances, and they don't wear pasties. I only find a couple of them physically attractive…

Right. I don't think I am employable in that field at this point. I graduated in May '11, I live in the Energy Corridor. I sold cars for six months, primarily to people in the business. When I told them about my degree, they'd unanimously ask me to send my resume to them. Every company has a referral program. You'd be insane not to shoot along the resume of the nice young man who'd taken you for a spin in a brand new Mazda. I got on and off the job search for O&G more times than were sane. The r…

Business and asset ownership are my keys to freedom. Still laying pipe :) All other work, I regard as entertainment. Last job that I held (April - May '14) was with a small business, where I was helper to an A/V installer. A full time schedule and bad habits ended up consuming a massive amount of time, diverting my energies from the basics. I went for most of that stint without finding the energy to exercise, and would frequently end the day with four or more beers with the bossman. It stopped b…

I'm glad that you brought this up. It appears to be a City of Houston requirement. I'm getting some conflicting information, so I will be making a phone call to determine the specifics, but the city has permits for all manner of occupations. Let's not call it something that it's not. The 48 Laws of Power and The Prince are both great books. Don't get me wrong. But as far as career advice for a twenty-something employee comes, this guy is spot on. And if you choose the Dark Triad, his advice to guard your reputation remains relevant.

Yes, it was a rough patch, but nothing compared to the aftermath of LTR 2 & 3. I took a moment to jot down a few thoughts this morning. Specific lessons from my experience that are validated by RP: Jealousy plots are a massive motivator (LTR 1 / LTR 3) It is our duty to lead. Others will follow if they are interested (LTR 3) Beyond the veneer of innocence, girls are just as animalistic as we are The system will tend to side with girls, particularly in more progressive institutions like my univer…

Understood! I will also review the attachments and sanitize accordingly. My relationship with V turned out to be explosive. I would have preferred to learn about the system through less painful means. I'm not proud of myself, because I was not able to commit to burning that bridge with her, never taking her seriously as an opponent. The more that I engage in exercise and read about exercise, the more I am convinced that the only things one needs are body weight exercises coupled with occasional squats and deadlifts. As you are a fat guy, body weight exercise will kick your ass and make you realize how much extra weight you are carrying around very quickly. As long as you don't weigh over 300 lbs, you can use a simple doorframe pullup bar. $20 invested in that will last you for a long time.

50Cent: What do you want with this girl? You seem unsure. If they're legitimately in an open relationship and she's giving you play, aren't you glad? Your past experience taught you that this was possible; either you embrace the depravity of the situation with gusto, or you eject until you know what you are trying to do. I've been there, 24th and San Antonio. Funny. While leaving Austin City Limits festival at night last year, I recall coming to a signaled crosswalk with a cop standing out in front of his cruiser immediately adjacent the road. The sign showed the universal red palm, so the crowd that I'd found myself walking along with were all stopped up there, waiting. One of the guys in the crowd shouted out to the cop, "Officer, can we cross?" He looked over and said, "Your risk." The street was fucking dead…

I don't believe that there's something broken about chivalry per se in that it is a useful tool when employed effectively. It's come under fire in the manosphere because it's perceived as being part of the manipulation of man. If anything, the takeaway lesson is that chivalrous behavior alone does not make for a successful mating strategy.

My internship with Chevron had me paid at an annualized rate of over 60k, and I was only in my second year of college at the time. Ask me what I do and I will tell you, but it doesn't pay.

Hey look, from one idiot to another, I might lift more than you do. However, totally irrelevant in light of the fact that yes, there do exist safeties that can prevent you from potentially killing yourself while doing bench press. Do you use a Smith machine or something?

That Goldiblox thing has been written up on social media quite a bit. My vote for TBP ad of the Super Bowl was the one for Butterfingers. Shit made me vomit a little.

Follow up: It's pretty glum for their graduates, even coming out of top STEM schools.. And considering how much a graduate there expects to earn in the first few years, affording a house is relegated to being a long term goal. Not that there's any shortage of housing, but property is a game for the wealthy.

The answer is obvious. Book clubs and Bible study have become too boring, and don't lead to enough solid connections formed. There is a subset of the human population that gets off on playing the hapless victim and in hearing other people's truthful accounts of rape. Getting off on a vicariously lived rape fantasy.

eye for an eye punishment would be vastly more entertaining and psychologically damaging here. Can you imagine?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
