To some women, honestly yeah. Not always though. I'm a fairly attractive woman and it doesn't offend me to be approached by awkward or physically unattractive men when they're respectful. But I'm an ugly duckling and was really weird growing up so maybe I can just empathize with them. Idk. I would be scared shitless of any man approaching me alone at 1 am no matter how attractive or charismatic he was.

You're using "Billy" as an extreme strawman that doesn't represent the vast majority of sexless men, who are - for the most part, anyway - just socially awkward and not a hideously undesirable caricature.

Porn disincentivizes those men to self-improve because it's easier to watch porn than work on becoming more attractive to women.

Nerdy stuff like video games and D&D aren't "masculine" activities, they're pretty gender neutral.

It has nothing to do with "having a pussy". A female is able to GESTATE A CHILD. A male cannot. 100 women can be impregnated by 1 man. 100 men cannot impregnate 1 woman. Only 1 man can. So from the perspective of SOCIETY -- which, no, doesn't care about merit or achievements, or frankly, individual people at all -- the female is inherently more valuable. That is an amoral statement of fact based on biology.

You're making an emotional appeal that is not at all relevant to what I'm saying. I suggest you take a deep breath and read my posts more carefully because I'm actually on your side.

I said to a degree. Because, as stated in the OP: society as a whole inherently places more value on female life then on male life ... The reason for this is that females are the limiting factor in the reproduction in our species In other words: as a society -- that is, NOT on an individual basis but as a collective -- some of the things mentioned are the logical consequence of biological reality, such as prioritizing women in an emergency, or only men being subject to conscription. Biology is a…

No but society does, which is literally what this entire post is about. Where's the confusion happening?

Which of the things on that list are the logical consequence of females being the limiting factor in reproduction, i.e. more biologically valuable, and which aren't?

I don't see too many men saying things like "all men are trash", and when it does happen, they're usually trying to appeal to women. And it only seems shocking to point out the bad in women because the vast majority of people refuse to acknowledge that we're even capable of being bad.

Yeah, actually. I think people in general -- men and women alike -- should absolutely be grateful to the (mostly) men who take on the hard, shitty, necessary jobs that no one wants. The difference is that women are entitled and other men are not.

Serious question: do you not believe that it's possible for a woman to be unkind to a man for no reason, or are all women perfect?

I literally started my first comment with "while this is true". Yes, I acknowledge that actually creepy men exist, I know women get sexually harassed. I also know that lots of women are unnecessarily cruel to normal men making good faith approaches. Both things can be true at once.

If I say no, if I say, I don't give my number to strangers, if I say I have a boyfriend, and you thank me for my time and goodnaturedly walk away, it's fine. For you, maybe. Are you not aware that women other than you exist? There are plenty of women out there who throw the word creep around to describe any man they find unattractive. You might treat men with basic kindness so long as they're respectful, but lots of women don't. Lots of women treat men like crap for no reason.

if a man is polite and walks away when declined it's no harm, no foul But it's not "no harm, no foul". That's the point the men on here so frequently try to make. And women love to assume that men are only approaching them for sex, but that's just not true. Men want to be in loving relationships too, and yeah, ideally part of that is having sex. Having normal human desires is not creepy. If he's approaching primarily for sex, then it's not in good faith, so that's irrelevant.

While this is true, it's disingenuous to act like women never use the word "creepy" to describe a man who's just making an honest, good faith approach and not doing anything wrong.

I agree with everything here, and honestly, to me it makes perfect sense and, to a degree, should be that way (aside from stuff like circumcision, which I believe is wrong regardless of sex) because males and females are just different. Neither is less important, but they do have different roles to play. For me the real issue stems from the fact that, as you pointed out, women now reap the benefits of equality AND of male disposability, leaving men at a huge disadvantage and without anything to …

This is absolutely it. The female social dominance hierarchy is incredibly punishing to women who dare to rise above the others -- groups of women operate like crabs in a bucket.

Proximity is a really big one. A woman who is open to being approached by you will not move away if you move closer to her. A woman who actively wants you to approach will create an opportunity by placing herself closer. If you've been making eye contact with a woman and move closer to her, she will gtfo the area if she doesn't want you to talk to her.

I don't disagree with the concept of the friend zone at all or that it's unpleasant. I don't like the term because a woman who treats a man that way is NOT his friend, and I think it's more beneficial for men who are in a "friend zone" situation to understand that they are NOT FRIENDS, put himself first, and cut ties. And my second point was that women have weaponized the word "friend" the same way as "creep".

I kinda don't like the term friend zone because I feel like the reality of it is not that deep. Either a woman finds you attractive enough to sleep with or she doesn't, and if she doesn't, she's probably keeping you around because you're useful in some other way. Another reason I don't like calling it that is that I'm constantly seeing women complaining "wah my male friends always end up having feelings for me" or "wah a guy became my friend with ulterior motives" and it really irritates me. IMO…

Probably true in general, but also not every city in the world has an abundance of men that a traditional/conservative woman would find attractive, or even likeable. It seems like 95% of the people where I live are some variation of feminist or woke or whatever else, which is extremely isolating. It feels good to read this sub and post occasionally and not be ripped to shreds for my opinions like I would be irl.

Why not tell me? 9 times out of 10 it's because you're a backup in case she doesn't find someone better, or you serve some other utility like providing attention, validation, favours, or paying for things. Women will swear up and down that it's not true but it is. She might be attracted to you but not attracted enough to do something about it or give up her other options, and you should assume she never will be unless you get a "fuck yes" from the beginning.

I don't think it's as significant as what you see on social media. A lot of these routines involving heavy makeup and contour are meant to look good on social media, i.e. in photos, and a lot of the time have filters applied to hide the skin's texture. They don't typically look that good in real life. If a woman's skin was really as smooth as it appeared after all that makeup, she probably wouldn't need foundation. Great skin and natural beauty enhanced with minimal makeup will always look bette…

It's not a fair comparison. It's more like how would a guy feel about his girlfriend or wife being on OF or even just accepting money and attention from other men. If a man would not be comfortable with the woman in his life being on the other side of whatever he's doing, he should not be doing that thing.

Yes but also no. I do but I see it as a consequence of the fact that life as a man is just harder. Regardless of whatever specific pros and cons they both have, the fundamental difference is the only one that actually matters: males have to earn their place in society, and females don't due to the inherent value of our reproductive capacity. I think a lot of women have a really hard time understanding that.

The only causal explanations allowed are "I caused it myself" or "other men caused it". You forgot "caused by doing nothing other than existing as a man". This narrative we currently live in where men are all evil, patriarchal oppressors, animals, "trash", potential rapists, creeps, or whatever else, and should just accept bad things happening to them because they deserve it. How does anyone expect men to be mentally healthy when it's socially acceptable -- even normal -- to express contempt for…

Yes, but I strongly prefer traditional gender roles in a relationship and to be the submissive partner, which makes me hesitant to take the lead too much. For me it's important that the man builds trust by leading courtship.

Okay, and how much content is out there -- not just on niche forums but on mainstream sites like Reddit and Twitter -- that portrays men as brain dead automatons who are slaves to their innate biological drives and lack moral integrity?

Literally what's the point of asking a question like this if you're not interested in a conversation or having your views challenged? You seem to have an extremely bad attitude towards answers that aren't what you wanted, so maybe you should work on that before you start handing out advice about mental health.

Then why did you bring up RP at all? MY point is that the narrative of RP men hating women and being bitter and angry is mostly a stereotype that doesn't translate to real life. Perhaps these guys that I know posted awful stuff online, perhaps not. At the end of the day who cares? I've said some pretty egregious shit about men online out of anger too but it's not remotely reflective of who I am in real life.

I'm pretty flirty, make prolonged eye contact, smile at him, sit close to him, and always initiate touch, and he escalates but not past the gray area of overtly sexual or unacceptable for friends. It's also totally possible that he's just not into me that way but he's kind of an awkward and weird guy in general so idk.

I've gotten to know a few men that were pretty into RP and couldn't really tell at first other than sometimes using obvious PUA techniques, which was lame af and extremely transparent, but I just ignored it at the time because I was crushing pretty hard. They only opened up about RP stuff later on when they were comfortable with me and it was nothing like what gets posted online. Actually it was pretty reasonable stuff. One of them I had to cut off because he tried to dread me after a minor argu…

I really want to hear from some women on the autism spectrum. Dating and avoiding predatory men is challenging on a whole other level for us.

For the last four months with the last NVM I was having daily chest pain, which was terrifying because there's a 50% chance I inherited a genetic heart problem from my dad. It almost killed him when he was my age. Thankfully it was just the NVM extracting the last fuck I had to give and it went away as soon as I dumped him. Completely gone the same day.

What's not heartwarming about it? She realized her mistake and committed to having no emotional needs whatsoever in order to be with the man of her dreams, the guy with the really nice abs. /s
