It’s unclear though if that’s due to ageism or the fact that older women started their career during a time when workforce was very sexist are still suffering from that. The only way we’ll know for sure is when the current generation has aged up.

They don’t want resources from the married person though. They just want a chance to mate with them while the cheated on spouse continues to supply resources. For the cheater this is an evolutionarily advantageous scenario- procreate with the best genes possible, get the most supporting resources as possible. It’s easy to understand when you take your personal feelings out of it and think of it as a game theory exercise

This is pretty well explained in evolutionary psychology. In coupling two drives are at play- securing the best genes for your offspring and securing the best provider. These are often not the same thing and humans have adjusted their mating behavior to selfishly look for both, even if it means being an asshole. When someone is taken, it shows they have value to another as a mate. The person hitting on the married person arent always hoping that they break up with their spouse and spend forever …

That’s the problem though. These issues are used as excuses so often they no longer hold meaning to people. More often than not it’s just someone complaining or trying to use such a “diagnosis” to get special treatment

This is the problem with all this. Anyone can characterize anything as “aggressive” and “crossing their boundaries” no matter if that’s complete bullshit and those boundaries should have been well understood as part of this job.
