The moment a bunch of men open their traps to the public about preferences, they are shamed. 100% honesty is never a good idea when you're dealing with emotional beings.

Are you doing anything about you psychological issues? Anxiety and depression can really hold you back. Easier said than done tbh. I've spent my entire life telling people I'm alright so it's like a programmed instinct these days. My father suffers from depression as well so my parents would be understanding about it, but I don't really have any major life problems to deal with so it just doesn't seem worth the effort. If it ever starts to affect my education then I'll see someone at University …

You seem to be determined to convince yourself that these girls will laugh at you, gossip about you and will never, ever want to have sex with you. I've already said I don't think people will laugh at me. I guarantee it'll be a talking point though, I'm a good looking guy (without wishing to brag) who works out, my lack of sexual experience will be extremely unusual, perhaps indicative of mental disorders (I have social anxiety and prone to depression so they'd be right). If I was an effeminate …

If you are determined not to be helped, then be that way. I don't see where in my post you'd think that I'm "determined not to be helped". I 'be myself' all the time, I don't have the energy or will to act any other way, it hasn't got me anywhere. It doesn't mean I can't recognise why I'm not attractive. A shy and inexperienced woman would see you as gold dust. If you say so pal. I wonder where they're hiding?

I don't think my social circle would laugh at me or shame me to my face, they're nice and pleasant people, I wouldn't hang out with them otherwise. They'd still remain decent platonic friends. It would however definitely change their opinion of me and give me a reputation among the group and the other women they know (women gossip) as undateable. Like I said, I predict the reaction would be mostly one of pity. I'd get patronising remarks about how I should just 'be myself' and I'll find someone …

Yeh when it happens I'm just going to wing it and hope for the best. The person I lose it to will never know that she was my first even if I'm awful at it. Better to be known as a crappy lay (but a lay nonetheless) than someone who couldn't get any til he was over 20 years old.

I actually study in a female-dominated field (English) so to answer your condescending question, the majority of my time spent socialising is with women, and ones who decided to get a degree which involves reading and writing about literature at that. From spending enough time with women my age (I'm 21) I would bet everything I own that if any of them knew I was a virgin (I am), the most understanding and compassionate of them would pity me at best. It is not something you can disclose in this d…

whereas the girls you'll meet at ComicCon or at a MegaDeth concert won't. I think this will depend on how attractive they are. Attractive women can get laid easily and in their solipsism will think there's something wrong with a man who is a virgin.

I really don't see how not wanting to be with a shit partner is some kind of innate drive that is apparently exclusive to women. No one should want that, male or female nor should they stick around for that. The point is, society says to men that women will love you for you, not your job or other tangible things. It's the mixed signals that early TRPers rage about.

I've heard it said that VR will be intentionally limited in terms of public entertainment systems because of just how immersive and addictive it will be. Large portions of the population will simply check out and work only as hard as is necessary to afford the technology, spending ALL their free time using it.

Yes, expanding opportunities for women is a positive thing and feminism is good in this regard. Just a couple of points I'd like to make: I also want to say woman's role in the past were far more limiting than men's role. I think this is only significantly true for the above average of both genders. The average man was historically very limited in his opportunities for upward social mobility, limited to his 'average' profession just as the average woman was limited to her average house. This lim…

When that's what is valued most, it's only a matter of time that woman feel their traditional roles are subservient rather than part of a whole. To be clear, I don't out right reject feminism, these are my observations. I totally agree. Ironically, it appears to me that modern lives defined by individualism and abstract notions of self-actualising tend to produce little more than dissatisfaction and existential angst. When you go through life thinking more about what life is giving you (money, s…

Traditionally considered "submissive" roles deserve equal respect to roles considered "dominating". This is where feminism has, intentionally or not, had a negative effect on society. Feminists would say that submissive roles, generally assigned to women and labelled as feminine, were not respected, or not respected enough. This belief leads to "gender roles are bad". Also, 'The Personal is Political' can also easily lead to the belief that women who consciously choose and enjoy traditional gend…

the average number of lifetime sexual partners for women is roughly 5. I'm assuming this is taken from the mouths of women, who tend to say a number lower than their actual count. I knew plenty of girls when I was about 16/17 that were already comfortably in double figures, and it wasn't seen as a big deal.

I guess where I fundamentally disagree with TRP is that, even if I personally can satisfy myself in those ways, I would still like my significant other to contribute to them uniquely. I don't think the TRP would disagree here. When I say the incentive is significantly diminished, this applies to women whose only contribution would be sexual. A lot of people, men and women, if they're being brutally honest with themselves would realise that they only stay in shit relationships because they're afr…

I think you're being a bit pedantic. I'm not talking about inner perfection and enlightenment, I'm talking about being basically satisfied and fulfilled on your own, with the only thing missing (and thus the only thing really longed for) being sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/15 04:00 PM

That doesn't make any sense. If all I need is sex it implies that I'm satisfied in all other areas. You can't be sexually satisfied by yourself.

In the UK (my country): If you don't have dependent children (known as ‘single homelessness') and you are not deemed to be more vulnerable than other homeless people, you probably won't be entitled to housing. http://www.crisis.org.uk/pages/homeless-def-numbers.html Basically, if you're an unmarried/childless man, you're on your own.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/15 12:08 PM

Do you want to know what happens to a man if he has no tangible value to deliver to other people (mostly in the form of currency or social influence)? He ends up homeless. It's inherent in a capitalist society that an individual is only worth anything so long as he contributes a monetary value. How are you so naive?

seems pretty easy to obtain. Hmmm. My body fat % is just too high for it and tbh it'd take a drastic change in my eating habits and more cardio than I'm prepared to do to achieve that arrow effect just inside the hips. I'm a little more ripped than dad bod but I'd still have to up the intensity of my training AND strictly observe my diet (no alcohol or junk food) for about 3 months to get this kind of body....all to achieve the ideal of someone else. Meh.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/15 07:27 AM

TRP recommends you make yourself intellectually, emotionally and spiritually satisfied and secure on your own before everything else. Once this is achieved, the only thing missing is sexual satisfaction and the incentive for entering LTRs is significantly diminished.

I'm an exception to your rule. I'm not posting pictures so you'll just have to trust me but I'm a good-looking guy who works out regularly. I'm also a 21-year old virgin, never had a girlfriend, I've made out with 1 girl ever, at a nightclub, she approached me and asked for it then left after 10 seconds because it was terrible. That is the extent of my sexual experience.

All romantic love is conditional. If you disagree, ask yourself this question: Do you love everyone you meet (relevant to your orientation)? If no, then you have certain conditions that must be met before you fall in love, thus romantic love is conditional.

Oh I wouldn't suggest a woman should not care about education/career, you definitely should, just don't labour under the illusion that it's important in the dating world as many do. From the sounds of it, there are willing men in sight, just not ones you find attractive. You're also not fat, so unless you look like a haggard old witch you'll be able to attract an average to slightly below-average guy....you're not doomed to the bottom of the barrel unlike a lot of below-average men. I work tirelessly at improving myself everyday, and there's no willing man in sight. Firstly, how old are you? Secondly, in what sense are you improving yourself? Bear in mind most men don't give a shit about your education or career as long as they can basically relate to you. So involuntarily celibate men are basically doomed to a sexless life unless they go find the lowest quality women available or pay for it. To be fair to TRP, they tell these incels to improve themselves. Your advice is to "suck it up" and "fuck those ugly, pathetic women". Correct me if I'm wrong, but, the beta male hate is strong in this one.

As you might expect, the quality of the food and the service is going to be terribly shitty though.... But thats the socialist solution to hunger. Hmmm, this is not necessarily the case. Okay, take a room of ~50 people at a bar, nightclub, college social event (where I'd wager most TRPers will be applying game). The extent to which a person is unique will most likely be primarily their major, which men don't really care about (unless they happen to be doing the same thing or it overlaps with their hobbies or something). People have subtly unique personalities, but those subtleties can take weeks to unearth before they even begin to affect you in interactions as people erect a pu…

I can't disagree with your logic but doesn't it destroy monogamy? Why should someone commit to one person? What if they see a hot guy out one day and she's feeling horny? You understand why both men and women value sexual restraint in this regard, right? Sex isn't just some leisure activity, it entails emotional bonding. When you have sex with someone, hormones are released that create a stronger bond with that person. It's not just the equivalent of fucking a dildo.

Statistics are useless on an individual. Everyone is an outlier in some way. Except it works all the time, marketing is built on stereotyping. Not TRP but I lift. To me it feels good knowing that with each session my body has improved. Even if I have a bad day, when I lift I know I've done something productive, I've made myself stronger and better-looking. I don't do cardio to lose weight, I just do it to maintain current levels of stamina and fitness, so whilst I know it's productive and necessary, it doesn't really have a qualitative improvement.

I don't think there's any evidence of a claim as strong as that. Fortunately we have science to help us here and as long as we think unfair treatment and discrimination are bad things, we can say with certainty that there is something wrong with patriarchal societies. With that said though, if numbers change and women came to dominate leadership positions but everything else somehow stayed the same, then yes we'd still be in a kind of patriarchal society. This would be like a number of matrilineal or women dominated societies where the norms and set up is still essentially patriarchal. i think 15 is the cut off point where you definitely become a slut I'm 20 and just finished my first year of college, so most of the women I know are 18-22. I'd estimate that over half of them are comfortably in double figures. A lot of them were getting regular sex at 14-16.

My whole point is really that an opening message doesn't really mean anything. A reply means that they've acknowledged your existence and not much more. "Hey, what's up :)", "not much". A message and reply that gets me nowhere, and probably kills the interaction in its tracks.

Male attractiveness (sexual market value) includes a lot of things besides looks. When TRP says top 20% of men, they mean SMV. A physically attractive man who is timid and submissive will not be very successful. He'll occasionally get messages and be approached (in roundabout ways) in clubs but that doesn't mean he's getting sex. I speak from firsthand experience here.

My point is, we've all done things we later regret while drunk. Perhaps regularly so. Your line of logic suggests that when that happens you've been wronged in some way. I don't do one night stands but if I did, I've had plenty of opportunities to sleep with unattractive women. I'm pretty sure I'd wake up and regret it afterwards (which is why I don't do it), but if I ended up going through with it, I wouldn't be able to point the finger at anyone else.

I don't really care what a woman weighs (within reason) as long as she's not physically lazy. Everyone has 30 minutes every other day to do a bit of exercise (you don't need a gym membership). If you don't, you're working too hard, although tbf that probably isn't by choice.

It's easy to be friends with women. When I think about it, a lot of women can be easier to make casual friendships with than men. That said, there's always a barrier that prevents truly close friendship, where one can totally relax and express oneself. As an introvert I find this extremely difficult with anyone, I think there's only 1 person in my entire life I've been able to do this with, so maybe that's just my own personal issue.

In a LTR relationship you obviously have to open up otherwise your woman will never feel comfortable. The thing to remember is that opening up should never be from a position of weakness or lack of control. It should always be framed in such a way that you're not dependent on the advice of support of the woman, and that you can handle things yourself.

I disagree, it might be good for the capitalist employer but it'd pretty much kill a huge chunk of the population's ability to affordably have children. You know that the cost of living wont go down significantly if this happened, right?

It really comes down to what will work to your advantage. It's risk/reward. TRP is just highly sceptical about supposed potential rewards for opening up. What does one actually gain from someone else knowing your deepest, darkest shit? What emotional benefits are there to such a connection? One could say emotional security and comfort....but it's a double-edge sword because they now have access to the nuclear strike button. The best way to end the prejudice against hiring women is to make maternity and paternity leave equal. This would mean raising paternity leave, which the capitalist and feminist alike have no interest whatsoever in doing.

I don't think unconditional love exists. Men's conditions for love are just different and usually more aesthetically-based. A man will be more accepting of character flaws, lack of resourcefulness etc. As Jim Jefferies says, "all we need is you" ;) It just traces back to what each gender finds attractive. If you're not automatically attracted to everyone you see of the opposite sex, then by definition you have conditions.

They're alpha for sure. You don't direct the kind of mega-bucks movies they have without being extremely good at managing people, which for a director is probably more important than having artistic genius (though it obviously helps to have both). You can bet when they're in the job that they do not suffer fools and do not take anybody's bullshit. 30 lbs overweight isn't much. That's a bit of chub you can lose in 6 months. I'm talking about huge FAT guys. Like, what I used to be in my mid-teens, I was fucking obese. You have your own anecdote, I have personal experience. I lost weight very quickly when I hit the gym after a couple of rejections, and all of a sudden I went from being 100% invisible/mildly detestable, to getting double-takes from girls that had known me half my life but otherwise totally ignored me. I have never seen a pack of women wildly go after any and all fat men on twitter for an entire week Nope, fat men (and other unattractive males) are just invisible to the opposite sex. To women, they might as well not exist beyond immediate utility. Chris Christie probably gets laid regularly, but only because of his utility and resources. There is certainly a growing trend of women (not necessarily feminists) dissatisfied with their romantic/sex lives who basically cry "what is wrong with men", rather than being introspective and lowering their own standards.

I'm generally quite misanthropic so to me AWALT is just a subset of All People Are Like That. The rise of the manosphere correlates with the beginning of of the economic crisis too. Yep. For a lot of men, cold hard reality hit them like a fucking train. Not saying I agree with OP, just playing devil's advocate to further discussion. Crime and poverty have being going down since then. Is this the definitive measure of a society? You might be right but I just think dominance and assertiveness (which are surely core tenets of TRP), when used appropriately and proportionately, are absolute requirements for success in any field. E.g. A teacher must command respect from a room. A non-profit worker must fight for every inch in whichever cause he chooses. There is inescapably a hierarchical and domineering aspect in almost any walk of life. This is obviously not specific to TRP which is primarily about sexual strategy. The adv…

Firstly, they're physically much weaker than men. Think about it along evolutionary lines, would it be a good idea for a pregnant woman or mother with infant children to strike out into the wilderness alone? Men evolved to work together to hunt fucking mammoths and protect the tribe from sabre-tooth tigers. We're built to face the monsters of this world, as a group. Women just aren't. It's just the way it is, it's not their fault so there's no point hating them for it.

Also, the whole idea about the disposable male. I don't really understand it. Generally, men have worth because they can provide resources, and women have worth because they can raise children, but both seem equally important to the survival of the species. I think it's emergent from the relative biological insignificance of an individual man. The woman is more precious to reproduction, which is more important than anything else like resources. The movie Haywire, starring a real life MMA fighter woman, actually had well choreographed fight scenes depicting her beating guys. She fought smart, utilized weapons from her environment, and she also didn't always win. Yeh. It was still pretty unrealistic, I mean a guy built like Channing Tatum with real training would probably put a woman in the hospital with one good right hook to the head. There was no incentive to not be an asshole and kidnap/rape any woman you got a boner for. Not if she had a protective father and/or brother with good standing in the tribe. I don't know how sexual relationships worked in prehistoric tribal societies, but she might already be 'taken/spoken for' by another man. Either way, safety depended on group cohesion. Don't piss off too many women in the tribe or you'll piss off your fellow men and you'll get kicked out to die alone in the wilderness.

It's definitely true that if you open up from a position of weakness or hopelessness, a woman will view you as weak and that hurts attraction. It always has to be framed as "this is my problem" and then "this is how I plan to deal with it", perhaps asking her opinion on the plan if she's a practical and logical thinker. It's a transaction. There are a series of different criteria you must meet before any given woman will consent to have sex with you. There is also supply and demand. If your value is very high, then you are among a group of people in short supply, for which there is high demand. You are thus better able to dictate the terms of the transaction, and can use your value to meet the criteria for consent with a large number of women.

That was in reference to the legal consequences of consumption. Compound it with the logistics issues and I only take drugs on rare occasions. If I could buy some weed or even MDMA with my alcohol down at the nearby convenience store I'd probably budget for it on a monthly basis at least. Well firstly, dehumanisation is implicit in a capitalist economic system. Currency (which has a totally arbitrary value) is fetishised to the point of putting prices on human lives and reducing people to mere utilities. It's taking the line of thinking that 'game' is manipulation to its logical extension: that any enhancement of your SMV is fundamentally manipulative. Every guy runs game to pick up girls at bars, to get that second date, to get girls into bed...whatever their goal, they're consciously trying to minimise their unattractive traits and maximise their attractive ones, just like women wear makeup. It's either all manipulative, or none of it is. I think it's the latter.

So alpha is only applicable to the sexual marketplace Yes. In nature, the alpha controls the sexual marketplace in that he has the pick of the females. It has been taken on by society to just mean "successful person" but guys like Zuckerberg are incredibly successful...without their specialised technical ability they'd be beta as fuck, it doesn't really seem right to call them alpha.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/15 06:55 PM

Women are not competitive agents in the sexual marketplace, they are receptive and screen their mates. It's totally pointless to denote alphas and betas for women, and if you do, it's only because they are imitating male behaviour.

"Alpha" in the context we're discussing denotes inherently masculine traits. It is hierarchical and indicates superiority and domination. Femininity is denoted by anything that is not masculine. It's binary i.e. the feminine alpha is a contradiction of terms. This is both a criticism of the whole paradigm (one found in second-wave feminist theory), and true in the context of this discussion. It's why I think the whole alpha/beta thing is a bit silly.

I don't bring anything to the table in social environments so there's little point in seeking them out. An example …

That depends on the size of the woman relative to the man and whether or not she's pregnant. Well yeh, I'm talking averages here. Isn't the amount of calories needed during pregnancy vastly exaggerated? I don't think you need more than a few hundred extra calories.

TRP is manipulative as all hell, I am always amazed when one tries to defend it as "just getting what you want". The option always stands to just say no and leave. That's where you ask yourself whether what you're getting in return for compromise is even worth the compromise. Just sex? You can get that anywhere. Emotional gratification and support? Don't you have any trusted close friends or parents who can provide that? In my opinion compromise is only worth it when you're getting both sexual and emotional gratification in abundance (whatever abundance means for you).

This is the answer. At the end of the day, for most middle class guys like me the worst case scenario is I lose my job, run out of money and go back to live with my parents. I'll still have my videogames and porn (easy gratification). This is literally my rock bottom situation, and I'm still pretty comfortable. This was not the case even 20 years ago, when I was born. it insinuates that men are winners in a Patriarchy because they are naturally sociopathic and self-centered. When there is a legal obligation to shareholders to increase profits, people are necessarily relegated to objects and currency is fetishised in their place. TRP often expresses in words what conservatism (i.e. conservation of traditional ways of life, structure of society etc) has always subconsciously believed but never had the words for, or has always been dressed up in religious dogma without being explained in terms of human nature. This is true. Marxist Feminism was never going to work because it was fighting against capitalism as well as patriarchal power structures. Second-wave Feminism succeeded only in assimilating women into capitalist society, and strengthening its power by giving the capitalist class a wider pool of exploitable labour. Many feminists like Germaine Greer dismay at this, but they helped create the conditions for it. The result is that women have by necessity (to succeed in the workplace) become more s…

Individual virgins wont get shamed unless they reveal themselves, true. But the reason they feel shame is because the idea of being a virgin male is shamed by society. People deride virgin males in the abstract all the time, and those virgins hear it and internalise it.

Feminism can be compared to a cult in many ways. They are the enlightened ones and their opponents are automatically misogynist simply for the fact that they're not feminist. Is it possible for 'more experience' to become 'jaded veteran' at some point? I think that's really the basis behind the distaste for high partner counts. There was a thread recently asking women about what they think about men with high partner counts and the overall response was negative. I personally think there's something off about people with like 50+ partner counts in their 20s, men and women alike...I think it probably just indicates a lifestyle that's not compatible with me.

It's only in the last hundred years or so since WWI that the idea of the 'Self' really took hold on society, that every individual should self-actualise and realise their own identities and prioritise as such with much less regard for our natural role. Wrapping up our identities in anything except offspring is a very recent phenomenon. Lifelong monogamy is also not really in our nature.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/15 10:35 PM

I think it's unusual because it's just so contradictory to our biological prime directive. Almost everything about our sexuality and our identity with regards to gender revolves around reproduction at its core. Monogamy and lifelong undying love for an unrelated person is anomalous, especially if it's ever brought into competition with our reproductive instincts.

Ultimately though RP isn't about taking a principled stand on things, it's about acting on pure self-interest. Of course encouraging 'plate-spinning' is hypocritical and most TRPers would admit so, but it doesn't really matter because they're not trying to change society to make it better, but rather to work with the environment before them and make the best of it from their own perspective.

I think this would be true of any dedicated parent. They are your legacy, you are totally responsible for them. The only problem is that costs of living are such that it makes it very difficult to live on just one income. In a patriarchal society, men will generally try to behave in the way that gets them laid most easily. If women want men to be nice, act accordingly.

No, I think sexuality is fluid and changes depending on circumstances. Could you expand, with reference to modern western culture? Surely if sexuality is "fluid" and subject to circumstance then LGBT people who suffer from persecution and homophobia would be able to choose to be straight. It sounds to me like you believe that if a person places themselves in the correct circumstances they can be sexually fulfilled with a person of any gender. I really don't think this is the case.

When it comes to relationships I think both genders are attracted to the familiar and relatable, for better or for worse. Some men and women are familiar with and can relate to shitty people because they're either a shitty person themselves or have grown up around them. When it comes to casual sex though personality really doesn't matter that much.

you have no control over how you think Nobody does. "You" or "I" (whatever those terms mean) are not the author of our thoughts. We can only 'consciously' control our actions. Our thoughts are entirely subject to our biology and environment.

if trp was common sense, it would be a common popular subreddit. This is just not true. /r/Soccer has just over 300,000 subscriptions. There are probably over a billion soccer fans on the planet. Reddit isn't a cross-section of society, not even close. I agree that TRP as an internet community is outlier, but the majority of its core ideas can be found in most personal development models across the globe.

I'm seeing a refreshing trend in this thread and it's towards low partner counts. Does this suggest that promiscuity is an indicator of negative personality traits with regards to romance/sexuality, for both genders? If a man is concerned with his partner's high count, is he insecure (the go-to response in places like /r/relationships) or perfectly justified?

that's a straight up delusion and/or hamstering. red pill is an outlier group that that majority of the population will always think is crazy (if it maintains it's present form/ideas). Marriage as an institution is still a fairly powerful cultural phenomenon, so in 20 years it won't be drastically different as there will be enough people in my generation that still apply value to it above and beyond that of the financial. Ask enough people, women especially, whether they hope for a big wedding day and you'll get a decent indication of the institution's standing in society, regardless of its religious connotations or what it means in terms of commitment in a relationship. You're confusing TRP subscription on reddit with the total number of people who hold similar views but have never even heard of reddit, nevermind redpill. Did you read my OP? The point of my post was kinda about how it can't logically be possible. You might sit there and respond glibly "well duh isn't this just common sense dumass?" No, it isn't. Just recently I was sat in a lecture (I study English at a fairly big UK University) that explicitly, didactically stated that "gender is a social construct". If in Universities they started sincerely teaching students that Unicorns exist, would you not be concerned?

There are obvious and scientifically noted differences between male and female brains, and transgender brains are structurally the same as the gender they identify with. That has nothing to do with society's views on what is feminine vs masculine. Sure, I'd agree that specific roles are a construct emergent from whatever culture you exist in, but there are common threads through almost all cultures which in my opinion suggest, when coupled with inherent differences between men and women, that mo…

So their behaviour will not necessarily change despite vast hormonal fluctuation during transitioning? This contradicts pretty much everything I've read from women who transition to men taking testosterone in particular. So much of human states of mind, take mental illness for instance, can be attributed to things like hormonal/chemical imbalances and is not thought to be purely subject to circumstance. The biology of the brain is incredibly powerful and we are subject to it for so much of our b…

Be interesting, be pleasant, be kind I feel like when it comes to commitment, this is the most important thing to a man, though I might just be speaking for myself. The women I develop strong feelings for just have a kind of pleasant warmth to their personality that can be intoxicating to be around. As soon as we hit 18 (legal drinking age in my country btw) we have near-absolute freedom to do anything we want in life, restricted only by finance, the law and genetics (most people cannot be professional athletes for example). It's not illegal to have sex when underage with another underage person. So you would've called the cops if one was underage and the other overage. If one was 17, the other 18? Don't be ridiculous. I'm probably going to have to be considerably under the influence to lose my virginity as my social anxiety prevents flirting, and I wouldn't want to have sex with ugly, old and/or fat women sober anyway. And quite frankly average is good enough for most women. That's not really much to aspire to though is it? I don't work out to attract the average woman, I work out to attract above average and also for general health and mental benefits. I think the idea of unconditional love is absurd, except for (in most cases) biological offspring. Do you love everyone you know well? No. Why not? There must be reasons, right? Firstly I apologise, my post was deliberately provocative. I just find it amazing that you'd drop everything over a simple question. Let's just say you had cheated but had successfully kept it secret, but he asked for a paternity test anyway, would you still leave out of principle because he wouldn't technically have reason to distrust you?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/14 04:07 PM

There is no such thing as a universal morality. The concept is absurd. Who or what would prescribe such a thing? I'm atheist, I make my own morality based on a mix of what gets practical results and what helps me sleep at night. This is true for absolutely anyone who lives by any sort of moral code. There really is nothing more to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/14 04:01 PM

It just doesn't seem very reasonable to me to want a paternity test without suspicion of cheating. So, just for argument's sake you cheated but were really good at hiding it and he didn't have a clue and didn't actually accuse you of cheating, would you still be offended out of principle if he asked for a paternity test?

I broadly agree with you. Maybe something like "it's not because of you, don't worry" would be more reassuring, if indeed there is something wrong. Other than that, I refuse to second guess like this and I'll take what a woman says at face value if she's just sitting there stewing. I don't need attention from others so it wouldn't bother me.

Hey, I'm just explaining RP thinking, I'm not saying I agree with it. The conventional wisdom is indeed to avoid LTRs unless you're desperate to procreate, mainly due to the legal crapshoot that is marriage these days. I do however think you may be wrong about declining fertility. Nightclubs are shitty places to spend time; Couldn't agree more. They're designed to be antisocial, it's so loud you can't have a normal conversation so you chug your drink faster and thus buy more drinks. I'd only find value in one if there was a really good DJ and I just wanted to dance all night, possibly on certain illicit stimulants.

Thus most of them are trying to attract women of a similar age, and as the above poster says the sub is about sexual strategy. It's obviously aimed at women where RP tenets will apply as a general pattern. The advice is to avoid women aged 30+, and not just because of diminishing fertility.

You think the average women would accept advice from some guy telling them to change their whole identity and way of life? This is what frustrates me about a lot of liberal left (which I generally identify as), they/we seem to believe that we can change the world one pep talk at a time. It's arrogance and hubris. The Clueless aren't necessarily naive, but they do attach their self-worth and gleefully dedicate their life to an external (and in the GP case) pathological system. They don't "ride" on top of the losers, they are placed there by Sociopaths because they're good for group morale. They are willing tools of the sociopath, because they naively believe the sociopaths are ultimately good and just.

Interesting you bring up Kevin Spacey, reminding me of House of Cards. I might re-watch that series with a GP context. He elaborates his powertalk tactics by breaking the fourth wall, this is masturbatory catharsis for the audience, but I also suspect that a sociopath would secretly love the idea of having an audience to gloat to.

The killer was directly addressing her arousal. I don't even need to rewatch to remember his comment about her marriage. It's a perfect storm for a good comedian on TV at a place of work.
