1	This is not funny. Nonetheless that arc is an incredibly minor portion of the film. I'm not completely disregarding that flaw of course, but I do think it's one of the better romcoms out there. Of course we could argue that most of the women aren't really that particularly well represented, save for Laura Linney's character and Alan Rickmans' wife (that dejected sulk at the end really captured the sentiment toward marriage roles). I'm going to disagree there - Love Actually was not particularly great in its depiction of women (e.g. scenes with the American girls, Aurelia, Natalie and the american child were things to be chased after). I didn't feel it was mysognist, but it was definitely much more one sided. There are better, more constructive rom-coms out there which would present more honest representations of men and women.	/r/MensRights	22/12/13 06:45 AM
