I've always been thankful that my sexual wiring ended up finding stupid men unattractive, even if they are conventionally physically attractive. Everyone has "dumb blonde" moments, but someone who can impress me with their knowledge on a subject, most any subject really, adds to their value immensely. TBH I've had the hots for someone who could tell you the date, location, and major players for every battle in every single Punic war, a guy who could debate organic chemistry reactions with me, an…

Agreed, but with the exception of Poorly Managed Mental Illness. The men who refuse therapy or medication, who don't try to get better or don't even acknowledge that there's something wrong. That is low value, not having a mental illness to begin with. I've dated LVM with mental illnesses and a HVM with mental illness. There is a lot of difference between them, mostly stemming from the drive to improve and manage their mental health.

Thank him for the offer and state you prefer to drive yourself on first dates. If he inquires further, then mention safety reasons, but otherwise don't make a big deal about it. If he makes a big deal about it, it tells you more about him than polite conversation will.

Everlane is one of my favorites for basics. One thing I've found is that material really makes the clothes. Natural fibers and good construction go a long way

For reference, I've been blonde, brunette, almost black brown, and red. Red is my favorite, but getting it to a natural looking copper is a bitch

Blonde is really hard. Not only for upkeep, but also getting the right tone for your skin. It can also really damage your hair. I would figure out your undertones and see what highlights/lowlights work with your complexion

Just to add to all of this: I didn't feel comfortable after moving in together until after we moved into a new place together. It didn't feel like mine, no matter how much rearranging I did. When we moved, we got new furniture together and decorated together. Now it feels like ours

Also look into white sapphire for a diamond alternative. The hardness is just one below diamond, so you know it'll withstand everyday use.

Take some of your time to take care of yourself physically: updated clothes that fit you well at your current weight, a pedicure for wearing sandals, a massage if that's in your budget, etc. Basically anything that you say, I should probably do this, but not right now. Of course your kids should be the first priority, but a well taken care of mom is much better equipped to take care of kids.

You are completely right about your body knowing what's best. The baby that you miscarried, though incredibly wanted, was not the baby meant for you - most likely due to incompatibilities with life. You will be blessed with the baby that is intended for you (spiritual and physically). Hopefully this is just a terrible bump in the road toward adding another member to your family.

Agreed. The more women who share their stories, the more we can all heal if it affects us or a lover in.

My mom miscarried seven times before my youngest sister was born. I was too young at the time to remember, but I do know she found support in other women who were or had been going through similar situations. She also now offers her story and a shoulder to cry on to other women. You may want to talk to those people you know who have miscarried or had stillborns, as they can really emphasize with what you're going through now. Also, when my sister was born, she felt so special to my mok and like …

You are. You just can't inspire men to fix themselves. The man has to be fully capable of the things you want to inspire. You have to look at him right now and ask yourself if right now he's capable of the things you want out of him, and if he's not able to do that, no amount of red pill tactics will bring that out of him.

Try things out! Your teenage years are supposed to be full of experimenting so you can find what works for you. Learn how to do makeup if that's your thing (keep it to natural looks when you go out in public if you decide to wear it, but learn the basics of what colors work for your face, how to correctly apply things, and then if it doesn't work, wash it all off), or if you're interested in art, maybe practice drawing or painting. You will have a lot more free time now than in adulthood, so use…

Surfer chick is definitely a look. Natural, sun-bleached (but not necessarily blonde) hair, tanned body, and simple/natural makeup and clothes. There's the femme Fatale, usually in form fitting, feminine, darker hued clothing, and made up well, hair in place, maybe a little skin showing, but not enough that she's not classy looking. Not a style that works for a lazy day around the house. There are tons of these looks that have been described, but it's not super realistic for someone to totally e…

You definitely don't have to. Look at Christine McConnell's retro and pastel looks. She also does horror looks, but you can see how her features also look good in soft pastels. This also might be of help: https://www.headcovers.com/resources/beauty/how-to-find-your-color-season/

Definitely see a good dermatologist. I'm also pretty pale, but the best thing about the sticks is that they blend really well so a little goes a long way and they're really dusky, so they can blend with light skin. There are also other options for contouring, but definitely don't veto it entirely. Do you know what shade foundation you use? I can suggest ones for you to try. I think the combination of really pale skin and dark hair is lovely! I used dye my hair dark, but I realized I was too warm…

So the recommendations I have are for skin and face shaping: go to r/skincareaddiction and look how others who have similar skin deal with their skin issues. I know if you can get a retin-a prescription, it will help with your skin surface and maybe even the crease. Also, always always always wear sunscreen! I would also get a razor specifically for the face. You can mostly find them from Asian brands/stores. Look up a video on YouTube to see how to use them properly without getting razor burn. …

In my house, my man usually cooks because it soothes him and he loves food - handling and eating. I do more of the cleaning, and I also handle the decor and atmosphere of the home. There are ways to be the feminine side to his masculine side in the home without going full homemaker. And these are things that contribute to you being a woman he wants to come home to. Also, I still suggest finding inspiration boards, even if you have friends in fashion. You can get an idea of what your personal sty…

It sounds like you are reading/consuming a lot of red pill/MGTOW stuff intended for other men. Knowing how men think and approach things is useful, but doesn't guide women very well. There isn't as much material directed at women, but try reading the sources this sub has and finding more advice and material geared towards women.

Use your size and feminine traits to your advantage. You can play the "I'm short, can you help me with this" card, when you curl up you become very small and able to be enveloped - just activate the baser instincts of protect the small. You can still show you're strong in other ways, but you gotta give him the chance to be the big guy. Also, in relationship, you should be able to get to a point where you let your guard down - relating to how your masculine side is sorta a safeguard. Think Marcia…

Also, for my own personal life expectations, once u hit my eighties I'm planning on saying fuck it and eating what I want (as long as it doesn't lead to diabetes or impact my health). I figure I've only got a short time at that point, and I'd rather be chubby and wrinkly/saggy than skinny and wrinkly/saggy.

Let me preface this by saying I don't know your mom and I am probably way off base, but the combination of being skinnier than when she was a teen and focusing on tea rather than food can be an indication of disordered eating. Just want to make sure you're aware of the signs ❤️

I think they're not doomed, but predisposed. You lose some agency of your body as you create a new one. This can result in hormonal and physical changes that last long after pregnancy ends. You now have a newborn that demands all your time and attention (may be exaggerating) on top of all the responsibilities you had previously. So it becomes more tempting to eat easier, which often means unhealthier. It's harder to keep up exercise routines you had previously, because of new responsibilities. S…

Luckily I am. The UTIs were a nasty salmonella infection that tore up my urinary tract for months. We found other ways to be intimate, but are now just gaining traction in that area and getting back to "normal".

Thank you so much for reading. I do try and be his comfort as much as I can, as well as the person who he can bring his problems to. One of the reasons I keep my nails long is that he looooves back scratches. I probably should have split up my post into separate posts, because there are the three big issues: making friends, hobbies, and living with the illness. One of the biggest roadblocks in the hobby realm is picking one. I like to do a lot of different creative things, but I sort of float fr…

I think one of my biggest problems is I need more "gal-pals". I have a few that are far away, and one that lives close by, but none that I can indulge in the girly stuff I want to, like experiment with hair color or have a girl's night. My boyfriend is my best friend, but I need a girl or girly best friend to do all the stuff I wouldn't drag him into. Luckily he is very close with his brothers, so he does get that constant male influence. (I did make a compromise with my boyfriend that if he hel…

Luckily I'm not at the point where a wheelchair will help, the only days when I have trouble walking are very few and far between. I have my old lady cane in my closet, but I'm so loathe to use it. Maybe one day I'll have to bite the bullet and use more mobility aids, but hopefully it will be a while from now. I'm working with a physical therapist, which has been both great and completely exhausting as I build up muscle so everyday life will be easier. I guess I will have to adjust my expectatio…

I guess one of my biggest problems is that my hobbies (that I stick with) aren't... Productive? If that makes sense. I love video games, but I get sucked into them and become a hermit, so I've been avoiding them. I read pretty frequently, but it's another solo hermit hobby, and while it does enrich my brain, I feel like it's not enough to occupy myself. I like drawing, knitting, and other craft making, but I have a bad habit of losing interest halfway through a project or I get imposter syndrome…

Have you thought about going to Sephora or Ulta or a department store makeup counter or even Sally's Beauty to talk to a professional in making people look good? You mentioned not having a strong feminine influence growing up, but have you found someone to 'show you the way'? I ask because these are some of my biggest influences in my own makeup and style, in addition to growing up with feminine influences in my own family. A makeup artist at MAC helped teach me to both apply makeup and find a s…
