Well, I guess they mean the opposite of seeking value. When you're seeking value, you want other people to validate you or your behavior, so, I guess that what they mean with offering value is that you should not be needy, and that people should feel good about talking with you. Basically you need to be very self confident, and give positive feedback and approval to other people. Just think of yourself as a god. Or Julien.

I don't prefer it. In earlier stages of dating/flirting I only make direct compliments in some bold push/pull.
